Leslie has decided to take up garment sewing and is loving it, which only leads to another hobby that she has to work into her schedule. Rochelle has to buy new earbuds and you won't believe why. They receive some hate mail and discuss that, too. Rochelle helps Leslie work through buttonholes and sewing on buttons.     How Leslie Got Her Groove Back

    Leslie recaps the weekend o' grandkids and how she is now completely recovered. It's a LOT watching three under 4 for more than a couple of days! Rochelle is concerned about Leslie's energy levels for the upcoming retreats they have planned for April and strategizes ideas on how to ensure Leslie gets the rest she needs. The girls also talk about Quiltcon and missing the fun (which they plan to not miss in the future). They also tease the upcoming recipe book from Osage Hills Retreat Center. Leslie is in the Banner of the Month Club from Riley Blake and the first one up was Easter. Rochelle gives her ideas on how to hang her banner. She also just came from teaching a pet portrait class in Pryor and tells all about her students. Leslie gives a tip on how to use the Laurastar Lift and keep it on without auto-shut-off.     The girls follow up on their guild experience and talk about what they loved about it. Rochelle wins a bag of embellishments and decides she wants to be-dangle her sunglasses. Leslie reveals some of her goals with her new executive coaching she is being provided through her full-time job. They also talk about relationships and how they become broken because of misunderstandings and not being aware of how people process information. The guild challenged everyone for finishing UFOs. They will measure and see who has the most inches completed. Rochelle is quite excited! Rochelle has just shipped off her pet portraits to Hawaii and is preparing for her trip. She also talks about raw-edge binding. Save your leftover batting from your quilts to finish smaller projects! Leslie gets some messages about her sewing table. Wait til you hear about that.     Decluttering and Updating Spaces

    This week Leslie updates everyone on the status of her heat. Rochelle has surgery on her eyes and updates everyone on that.  She comes up with a new way to work on pet portraits and long-arming with safety goggles. You have to come up with ways to solve problems in a pinch! Rochelle also finds out where she ranks with Lance in case they are in a dire situation. The girls give a couple of movie reviews. Rochelle updates us on her research from the "south region". Then they get to quilting. Rochelle shares an idea on how to get things done when setting timers. Leslie received a Quilt More Worry Less wall hanging from a listener and started and finished it within a couple of days and this motivated Rochelle. Rochelle is getting labels on and shipping of projects to Hawaii. Leslie updates her studio to include a new workspace. She talks about her new organization of her pre-cuts. Rochelle gives an update on her decluttering project. It's a great hodgepodge of fun this week. Enjoy!

    Quilting Threads Memories: A Recent Loss and Mister Rogers

    Leslie and Rochelle catch up and reminisce about their Doug Leko interview. Rochelle catches everyone up on her life and what has been going on with her parents health. Unfortunately, Rochelle's father, Richard passed on December 17th so she has taken some time to grieve privately before discussing. 

    The girls also chat about the pickle in the Christmas tree. Rochelle makes sure that we are all educated on where this came from. They chat about the table runner Leslie has been making for her camper and discover it is actually a take from a previous quilt pattern of Doug Leko's. Find out which one!

    Rochelle talks about an idea to mend one of her pairs of shorts. Listen to her amazing idea and make sure to send encouragement for her to actually do it. 

    Leslie talks about recently watching A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. She is a big fan of Mister Rogers and grew up with his show and she talks about the kindness that came from his ability to listen to others and appreciate silence. So much noise in the world and silence is so valuable.

    Rochelle goes to the neighborhood Christmas party and gets glittered and glutened. This time of the year, the debate begins between cakes, pies and cookies. Rochelle has her notebook back and reads some listener questions including a question about Leslie having to get in line for her long-arming. Leslie is preparing to go to a formal wedding and refuses to buy a dress. Rochelle gives tips on how to get moustaches lasered if you have gold crowns. It's a thing.     Well, when it rains, it pours. The girls talk all about the crazy t-shirt issues and how they are fixing everything, including some interesting conversations with vendors. Leslie talks about her Jenny's Countdown to Christmas Celebration box from Missouri Star Quilt Company and encourages everyone to sign up for it in 2024. It's spectacular! Rochelle shows Leslie an amazing piece of yardage from their friend, Robin's shop but she is going to surprise us with what she is going to do with it.     Leslie has Friendsgiving on Thanksgiving with her besties, Cara and Jeanne. Rochelle is still in Wyoming with her parents, so the girls pinch hit and talk quilting this week. The gals have two unmercials this week, talk about their upcoming Rhine River cruise and other upcoming quilting retreats for 2024. They also talk about minky and all the good, bad and ugly! You can mix up cotton tops with minky backs. Don't be afraid! They talk about current projects and also whether they love mystery quilts or not. They talk favorite notions, too! Such a fun episode.     Rochelle is in Arizona teaching pet portraits and has lost seven of her portraits somehow between Hawaii, Tulsa and Phoenix. She is so distraught and who could blame her? She is also working on plans to move her aging parents from Wyoming and Lance's plans on how he would murder Rochelle.
