We know the loss of a pregnancy can be devastating and overwhelming, but please know you are not alone. There are times when—despite the best efforts of parents, physicians and the availability of the best technology—death occurs through miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. We understand you may be experiencing a wide range of emotions and we are here to help through this most difficult of times.

Tammy Ruiz Ziegler is the perinatal bereavement coordinator at MWHC, and Tameka Franklin is a former patient of Tammy's and is now an associate at MWHC as well. They talked with us about the bereavement journey and the Healing Through Support group that meets monthly.

Kaitlin Pond is a physician assistant at Mary Washington Pediatrics. She just  published her very first children's book called The Art of Being a Heart which teaches children all about the heart and how to keep it healthy.

Dr. Ilić is a breast and endocrine surgeon at Mary Washington General Surgery. She visited Town Talk with Ted Schubel to talk about the thyroid and parathyroid along with Hidden Scar Certification and being a high volume surgeon.

Janelle Heyl went into labor when she was only 30 weeks pregnant. Thankfully, she lived only a mile from Mary Washington Hospital and the Level III NICU. Hear Janelle's account of baby Blakely's birth and her 60-day stay in the NICU.
