Pursuing a Career Based on Your Interests vs. Pay: Where the Rubber Meets the Road

In this episode, we discuss the hard fact that salaries vary across industries. Therefore, it's important to consider this reality when choosing a job. Doing so ensures the career you choose will support the lifestyle you want to have. At the same time, however, pay shouldn't be the only factor you consider when deciding on a career.

We review salary projections for the Class of 2022 as well as average salaries across various majors and compare them to college students' expectations. Then, we take a look at an example of the potential consequence of choosing a career based on pay and prestige when said career isn't in alignment with your personal values.
