The QBs don't actually end up talking about 90s toys in this one. They meant to, but they didn't. How could they when there's so much else to talk about? Raised more as brothers than cousins, the QBs were all the more saddened by the circumstances that brought about their separation. This episode details the events preceding and surrounding the Juhls' exit from Midway-Denton - the school they loved so dearly. After leaving, Steve would speak to Our Friend Matt only one more time prior to starting the KSQB podcast 20+ years later and Tyler would only see Steve during the holidays. To wash this bitter taste from their minds, the QBs invite their listeners to think back on some of the all-time greats who wore a Kansas University basketball jersey. Remember Raef Lafrentz? 3.5 miles West of the Denton turn-off on a muddy, poorly maintained gravel road sits an old farmstead. There's a two-story farmhouse, a large barn and a lightning-struck tree. This is where the QBs first met Mario, first enjoyed the wonders of a large trampoline, first played whiffle barn derby, and where Tyler first attacked Steve with an actual weapon. Becky weighs-in. Halle is excluded from the conversation. And Steve gives parenting advice. This one is totally worth the download.

The QBs remember a time when they fetched water and dry footballs for the real Kansas QBs of Midway. QBs like the Frankens, and Mark Albers, and Jeremy Blanton. While Steve jealously watched Tyler running about, dry as a desert, performing his ball boy duties, he was left to contemplate why the water bottles had no lids. WHY NO LIDS?! It was the slick pants that saved Steve and Kevin . . . and Becky until she was promoted to stat-girl. Obviously, the sideline staff for Coach Martin and Coach Juhl's football teams was homegrown. In this episode the QBs reminisce.  They also call Tyler's mom. They also get hung-up on by Halle. They also call fellow Kansas QB Jeremy Blanton.
