    You Deserve It!!

    You Deserve It!!

Listen! There's a line that says, "Winners know how to win!". This is the time; this is your time. We grind so hard that sometimes we don't see our own growth but know, that your bubble is about to pop. Now! You deserve what is coming to you. Why?! because you've been coming in early and staying late. Why?! Because you've made yourself available to any and every customer, because you were intent in making sure a customer was always in your chair. Or you're still stagnant because you don't want to take walk ins, you want to take an hour lunch even though you've been slow all day and still have no one scheduled after lunch. The choice is yours; your busyness depends solely on you. Seize the day, seize each cut, seize each opportunity.

    Let's Talk Numbers

    Let's Talk Numbers

The industry has grown so much and because of that there has been a lot more freedom in much a barber can charge. As the saying goes, 'Know your worth' when deciding your prices. There are factors that go into this decision however, the area the shop is in, the type of services you're providing and the number one deciding factor being the quality of the haircut you're putting out. Join me as we dive into these factors.

Are You A Complainer Or A Grinder??

Are You A Complainer Or A Grinder??

There are two types of people in this barbering industry, heck even two types in this world. Those types are complainers and grinders. A complainer will always deflect, stating the shop is slow when they in fact turn down walk ins, say the shop is slow when in fact they came in late and left early. Then there's the grinders, the type that greet all walk ins, the type that pass out cards or make engaging post when slow, the type that give their all to make sure their chair keeps spinning. You know what they say about excuses, quit using excuses and lean on it for motivation. Nobody is going to pay your bills for you but You. Lets go get it!

    Perfecting Your Mindset

    Perfecting Your Mindset

In the sports world, they say "How you practice is how you play,'. It's the same for barbering, how you prep for the day is how your day is going to go, the choice is yours. The trio of mind, body and soul is keen when tackling an 8–11-hour day of standing on your feet and grinding haircut after haircut.  In this episode we got over acknowledging that a good night's rest, getting up early to read some literature that opens your mind or even getting a morning workout is definitely something that can and will help you start your day off so much better. From the music and shows you watch in the shop to taking care of your temple by eating correctly and wearing some good shoes that protect your feet for the long day.

    Are You Available??

    Are You Available??

Are you available? In this episode we'll discuss, how to make yourself available and why it's important to do so. Too many times we allow ourselves to get too complacent or let ourselves become slaves to a customer that's always late, therefore making us miss out on walk-ins or being able to book clients that value your time.
