    When happens when strawberries go moldy at the grocery store? Author Gina Soldano-Herrle joins us to answer our questions about food waste. Gina's picture book, Nia's Rescue Box, tells the story of a girl visiting a food rescue for the first time. But what's a food rescue? Gina and Dr. Danger discuss food waste, food rescues, and treasure hunts. Super Eddie chimes in with what he does, or doesn't do, to prevent food waste.

    Super Eddie asks, "Why do lakes have water in them?" Dr. Danger has never pondered this question before.  Super Eddie also wants to know why lakes can't catch on fire. Dr. Danger explains why the water in a lake doesn't run out completely, and how lakes can be fed by other water sources.

    Super Eddie wants to know: how many types of scorpions are there? Dr. Danger explains that there are a lot less than Super Eddie thinks. She tells Super Eddie what you might have to do with your shoes if you live in the desert with scorpions. Super Eddie shares his knowledge about how scorpions sting to attack and defend. They discuss what scorpions eat, who hunts scorpions, and when scorpions are active (hint: not during the day!).

    Wendy Goldstein, author and therapy dog owner, tells Dr. Danger and Super Eddie what a therapy dog is and what important characteristics a dog must have to become a therapy dog. She describes Oscar's routine before and after he visits kids who are in the hospital. Wendy tells us how she knew Oscar was meant to become a therapy dog, and some of the impacts he has had in his visits.

    We've talked a lot about sharks, but what are the weakest sharks? Are great white sharks or tiger sharks weak? No way! Let's think whale sharks, nurse sharks, and thresher sharks. 

    Super Eddie wants to talk about the weakest sharks and the most dangerous sharks. We learn which three sharks are responsible for the most shark attacks. But keep in mind that most sharks do not attack humans!

    Today's question comes from Eavan. She wants to know, what is alive? Put another way, how do we tell the difference between something living and something that is non-living? Super Eddie explains how he knows if something is alive. Dr. Danger explains how biologists define living things.

    In this episode, Super Eddie wants to know who would win in a fight: a bear or a moose? Dr. Danger thinks the bear would win and Super Eddie thinks the moose would win with its big antlers. Dr. Danger shares what she finds out about a bear vs. moose matchup. Are they both right? Is that even possible?

    What's the biggest shark that exists right now? In other words, we know megolodon was the biggest shark ever, but what's the biggest shark right now? Super Eddie shares some really interesting facts he learned at school about WHALE SHARKS! He and Dr. Danger discuss: are whale sharks whales, sharks, or fish? "What is the biggest fish?" Dr. Danger asks. The answer may surprise you. Dr. Danger reveals some shocking information about the relationship between sharks and fish. She also tells us what whale sharks eat, and what zooplankton are.

    Robbie wonders, how do you make sugar? Where does it come from? Dr. Danger explains where several types of sugar come from, including from plants.
