What do Criminal Interrogations and Spiritual Conversations Have in Common?

What do Criminal Interrogations and Spiritual Conversations Have in Common?

What can we learn about spiritual conversations with the people around us from Glen's experience in criminal interrogations?
    Great Question!
We tackle it in this episode of the Kingdom Effect.
Reflexive micro-expressions. Observation of others. Developing a relationship of trust. Elevating others and lowering yourself to their level.  All of these principles are present in both  interrogations and when you are engaging in spiritual converations.

From Homicide to Redemption - The Effect of Organ Donation with Kelly Mitchell

From Homicide to Redemption - The Effect of Organ Donation with Kelly Mitchell

There is a simple and powerful way we can all leave behind a legacy! We don't think about it until we hear the stories of how this simple decision impacts generations of people. April is organ donation month and we want to honor this opportunity by sharing an organ donation story that will keep you thinking for days. Troy Mitchell was a true American hero who died tragically in a homicide case. Kelly was his wife and together they had seven boys. This story that could have had no redemptive story other than Troy's faith will live for generations in the five lives that were saved by Troy's decision to donate his organs. Listen to Kelly share the stories of those she's met who have a new life because Troy and she chose to give right up to the very end of Troy's life.

Fathers, Sons and Rites of Passage

Fathers, Sons and Rites of Passage

Headed into season 2 we wanted to take some time out to pull back the curtain on a conversation between Glen and Kevin about raising boys, fatherhood and rites of passage. Candid and honestly we talk about things we've learned, where we've failed, and what we're getting better at when it comes to being the father's our sons (and daughters) need.

God Reaches into a Prison Cell with Cyntoia Brown-Long

God Reaches into a Prison Cell with Cyntoia Brown-Long

Cyntoia's path to prison was a tragic story of a young girl heading down the wrong path. It was a game of survival that turned into a loss that landed Cyntoia behind bars without parole for 51 years. That is until God's hand reached down and made her a promise through her future husband that she would soon be released against all odds. As her case unexplainably re-opened, she found hope when all signs pointed to hopelessness. Now she's serving God by working to reform the juvenile justice system through her non-profit called the JFAM Foundation.
