    Rep. Alexander serves the 2nd Legislative District. Rep. Alexander is from Olympia. He is the ranking Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, which is the committee that crafts the state operating budget. During this interview we talked about the state budget, the projected deficit, and education funding – since he was on the task force on education that met over the interim to address the state Supreme Court mandates on education. He is also a co-sponsor of House Joint Resolution 4206, which would amend the state’s constitution to add the 2/3rd majority requirement for the Legislature to raise taxes (Taxpayer Protection Act).
