    If I Knew Then: Helen Smolinksi

    Helen Smolinski was appointed by former San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee to the Mayor’s Disability Council where she advocates on behalf of disabled children and their families. She served on a board for families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and is active in disability issues statewide. Helen is a lawyer, and prior to having her children, she was the Managing Director of a national non-profit, civil rights organization that focused on issues of race, immigration, and poverty.  Before becoming a lawyer, Helen worked in media and is a published author,   including most recently in a book about gay marriage. She and her partner live with their two young children in San Francisco.

    Kristin is the owner of Kristin Jones Coaching, where she specialize in helping women address and manage issues with emotional eating and helps them to develop a healthy relationship with food that doesn’t involve counting calories, or ever dieting again. Kristin’s hope is to share her knowledge and first-hand experiences with women in order to empower them to truly embrace and love who they are and to learn what they need in order to live their best life ever.

    Blue Inquito is a mom of 8-year old twins, married 4 times to the same woman by Gavin Newsom, immigrated from the Philippines at 6 years old, and as a profession is a software sales rep in San Francisco.  One of her twins, Betta, is a severely disabled child meaning she was born blind, deaf and unable to move at all. Blue is addicted to self-help books, podcasts, Oprah and is well aware that every day is intentional.  Blue has been trying to meditate for more than 16 minutes since 2009 and will continue that quest in 2019.
