Did you know that only one miracle, besides those surrounding Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, is recorded in all four histories of Jesus' life? And John records only one other that made it into the other gospels. Why did John choose, after so many years, to include these two when he did none of the others? The chief priest and their crowd were demanding of Jesus - a witness to show that he was who he claimed to be. In effect, they had him on trial before they ever arrested him. Problem was, they were the ones who were actually on trial - for their eternal souls. Jesus brings three witnesses to bear in their case. And the verdict is inescapable.

Do we understand the spiritual when the "real" world closes in around us? "Seek the kingdom of God - and all these things will be taken care of." Do we really believe that? Do we live that? How do we live that?
