His great grandfather is the heralded actor Lon Chaney Sr. Lon starred in such horror classics as Phantom of the Opera and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. His son, Lon Chaney Jr. continued the family legacy, starring in many of the classic Universal Monster films, most notably The Wolfman.

Anytime that a music fan embraces an artist's catalog, invariably, there are certain albums in the their lexicon that didn't get the attention they deserved. Maybe the current music trends at the time were not in line with their musical style, or the album wasn't promoted as well as it should have been.

As a manager, once Adam and I started experiencing some success, a large number of artists (both established and unestablished) started reaching out to us seeing if we would be interested in managing their careers. But the truth is that working on building up an unestablished artist is as much work (or more) than working an act that already has a fan base. It takes a great deal of work with little financial result as a band makes their way up the chain. So it is rare that we ever take any on... but Tax The Heat was a big exception. This band from the Bristol area of England blew me away and continue to do so years later. Here is their tale... I tell it in an effort to encourage others to stick to your guns and make a go of it.

Now that the various vaccines effective against the COVID 19 virus are becoming more and more prevalent each and every day and more people are taking it daily, we are coming closer and closer to the day when live music will once again be a part of our lives. In this age of cancel culture, I am a little lost about what I am supposed to do. I have been a fan of Marilyn Manson since the release of his first major album, “Portrait of an American Family”. I have followed his career closely and have loved his music and his innovation. But with the recent barrage of accusations from former fiancé Even Rachel Woods and others, I feel guilty for liking him and find it hard to listen to his music without feeling judged. How do we deal with cancel culture when it hits you about something you really like? Same for Gary Glitter and many others. Can one separate the music from the musician and his/her egregious acts?
