It was a time of political and economic turmoil that saw the German hyperinflation of 1923 and the rise of Nazism with the appointment in 1933 of Adolph Hitler to the German chancellorship. This period also brought about a brutal and sadistic serial killer known as the Vampire of Düsseldorf.

In 2008, 22yo Tim McLean caught a Greyhound bus home to Winnipeg after working at a fair in Edmonton. After a few stops, a tall stranger boarded the bus and eventually made his way to the seat next to Tim’s.
