Karen and Robby get to know the newly minted Advanced rider, Maddie Hale. Maddie shares her story of growing up in California doing Equitation and Jumpers and then met Lauren Billys who convinced Maddie to try Eventing. Maddie eventually moved to the East Coast and is now a member of the 2024 USEF Eventing 25 and most recently completed her first Advanced to finish in the top 5!

Karen and Robby get to know former 5* rider, Lellie Ward. Lellie shares her amazing stories of all of the top riders she grew up being around, from Tadd Coffin and Torrence Watkins to William Steinkraus - just to name a few. We also learn that her grandfather, who was a jockey missed getting on the Titanic due to celebrating a but too much in Ireland after a big win. Lellie is now "livin' the good life" in Wyoming at her Paradise West Ranch training horses, coaching riders and helping on a Dude Ranch. Karen and Robby get to know Canadian Eventer, Bradley Champagne. Brad is a previous guest from episode #25 with the Windurra Crew. Brad shares his story of growing up in Canada and spending a winter in Ocala, Fl with Karl Slezak. Brad eventually became a rider for Boyd Martin and found his calling of breaking and training the young horses and getting them to the YEH Championships.  Brad has gone to Ireland for the 2nd year in a row and brought back a couple nice horses through the Excel Star Sporthorses.

We get so many requests for an interview with Karen O'Connor and realized not many know that we already interviewed her. We decided to re-release this amazing interview with one of our sports legends.  Karen shares amazing stories about Queen Elizabeth, Jack LeGoff, Willam Micklem, Derek & Bea Di Grazia, among other amazing people. Karen shared how she was bullied as a child rider by her peers in school and how she was passed over by Jack LeGoff to be on the training list as a young rider despite her winning virtually everything she entered. Karen also shares her battle with depression after her back breaking fall, dealing with coming back to the sport and how she was able to get past the depression. Karen is possibly the most inspirational Eventer of her era and this interview only strengthens why she inspires so many riders still today.

Karen and Robby get to know Young Rider, Ben Noonan. Ben shares his story of growing up in St. Louis, Missouri as a non-horsey family and his Dad buying his Mom a 3 y/o Quarter Horse as a surprise. Ben started riding and got into Western Mounted Shooting and then found a local Eventing barn. From there, Ben met Karen O'Connor and the rest is history. Karen and Robby get to know Irish Eventer Lee Maher. Lee shares how he grew up in Ireland in a non-horsey family and started riding with his cousin. He met and started riding with Carol Gee from Fernhill Sporthorses and also worked for Joseph Murphy. Lee then  came to the US to work for Caroline Pamukcu to help run her sales program.
