Episode 65: Enough - With Brother Marcus McIntosh

Episode 65: Enough - With Brother Marcus McIntosh

'It wasn't until I was stripped that I found out how much God had me covered.'

In this episode, Brother Marcus McIntosh provides an encouraging and challenging message about the sufficiency of God - taken from 2 Corinthians 3:

4 Such confidence we have through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—

    he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel

    will neither slumber nor sleep.

Episode 58: Capturing God's Heart With Sister Heather Justin

Episode 58: Capturing God's Heart With Sister Heather Justin

In this episode, Sister Heather reminds us of the goodness of God and his promises of salvation. We look to the Holy Bible for verses of encouragement and remember that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and that because of His grace poured out for us, we are a new creation.
     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    References:

    Romans 8:1-2
1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.

    Romans 6:4-11
4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus

    Ephesians 2:4-10
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

    Isiah 43:18-19
    18 Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
        and streams in the wasteland.

    Romans 8:28-29
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Episode 57: Freedom From The Past with Brother Marcus McIntosh

Episode 57: Freedom From The Past with Brother Marcus McIntosh

    1 1 Thessalonians 5:5-9
We have all experienced guilt, shame, hate, and various things that try to keep us down. We can stay under the manipulation of past mistakes so long we began to agree with its assessment of ourselves. The blood of Jesus breaks bad agreements and curses that we can live out our righteousness identity in Christ. The covenant God has given us is bigger than anything that has or will try to overtake us. We will walk out salvation when we agree with God!

    Passage from Romans 5:15 (NIV)
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

Episode 55: Partakers With Brother Marcus McIntosh

Episode 55: Partakers With Brother Marcus McIntosh

    'Partakers'
A message from Brother Marcus from 1 Peter 4:12-17.

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Episode 52: The Path to True Worship with Brother Marcus

Episode 52: The Path to True Worship with Brother Marcus

There are things that have been passed down to each one of us. And although they are not necessarily right, sometimes they are all we know. God will often interrupt our repetitive ways in order to introduce a new way - His way. By breaking our yokes, He gives us what we were thirsting and looking for all along. And the river of living water is given to our spirit, that we may worship him truly!

    John 4:23
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
