Movement Guidance

This week on Movement Guidance we have Sherri Gonzalez! Originally from League City, Texas, she received her BFA in Dance Theater at AMDA. She has also completed a handful of training programs from Motivating Excellence with Rhapsody James, KMElite, ImBrace with Ian Mckenzie, and recently became a member of the 2022 - 2023 TROUPE COMPANY. Some of her credits include Jennifer Lopez, Tinashe, Jason Derulo, Ava Max, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Kanye West, Victoria Monet and more. She also travels across the country on behalf of her alma mater, AMDA, where she is able to recruit and reward college scholarships on behalf of the dance department.

This week on Movement Guidance we have ShirJuanda “Bounce!" She is originally from Dallas, Texas. She started training with Debbie Allen and her staff at the age of six alongside summer programs at Alvin Ailey and Joffrey Ballet. Some of her credits include Mary J. Blige, Meghan Trainor, will.i.am, Cherry Boom Boom, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, the Hallmark Channel, and so much more. When she isn’t dancing or choreographing she is chatting it up on her podcast, The BZY-B Wine Down.

She has worked with a handful of some of the biggest names in the industry from Andrew Winghart, to Blake McGrath, Brian Friedman, Jemel McWilliams, Kyle Hanagami, Liz Imperio, Luther Brown, NappyTabs, Tessandra Chavez, Tyce Diorio, and so many more.  Some of her credits include the iHeart Jingle Ball Tour with Dixie D’Amelio, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Darren Criss, Hailee Steinfeld, Latin AMA’s, Latin Billboard Awards, Oscars, and so much more.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Jenn Stafford! She is a dancer, actor, and vocalist originally from Canada. You will soon be able to catch her on the big screen in Avatar 2 and 3.  Some of her additional credits include The Tony Awards, The Grammy Awards, Dear White People, Katy Perry, A Week Away, and Cirque Du Soleil in The Beatles LOVE and 45 Degrees.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Jensen Freedman! She is originally from Simi Valley in California. She is a professional tap dancer with Tap Sounds Underground and Rithem Dance Company.  She has worked as a traveling personal assistant and assistant choreographer to one of her mentors, Ryan Lohoff.  You can catch her teaching tap across the country with Intrigue Dance Convention & Tap Into The Network.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Shelby Davis! She has worked closely with Marinda Davis, Brooke Pierotti, Al Blackstone, Andrew Winghart, and others.  She was a part of Kiersten Russell’s company, PURSUIT, on Season 2 of World of Dance.  Some of her credits include Jennifer Lopez, Little Big Town, and Derek Hough.  She is also a company member with MashUp Contemporary Dance company and marInspired; The Storytellers.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Allie Christensen! She is a former professional dancer who has worked with LINES Ballet Ensemble in San Francisco and The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel. After a life changing injury she received her Gyrotonics Certification and later became a Dance Movement Specialist.  In 2013 she started Align Fitness by Allie where she is sharing her wealth of knowledge that she wished her 12 year old dancing self would have had. She has worked with dancers both virtually and in-person where she focuses on alignment and current evidence to harness your body's potential as a mover.  She also has a fabulous podcast called Beyond The Pointe where she talks with people who have centered their careers around dance. She brings them together to help dancers and parents to be more informed so they can reach their goals in dance.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Hannah Easley!  She is originally from Ohio but she has lived and worked as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher all over the US. But it was living in Seattle where she started her own touring training company called The Westsiders. Some of her commercial credits include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ricky Martin, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Amazon to name a few. This week on Movement Guidance we have Halima Dodo! She is originally from Florida and she has worked with major artists such as Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, Justin Beiber, JoJo, and Daddy Yankee. You can also catch her on Netflix in The Prom and on Disney+ in Beyonce’s Black Is King. She is also the creator of Passion Dance Intensive.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Rachel Leigh Dolan! She is a 2 time Helen Hayes Award Winning Choreographer.  As a choreographer, some of her favorite credits include Annie at Olney Theatre Center, James and the Giant Peach at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Carousel at Arena Stage, and working as an Associate Choreographer for Step One Dance Company on Holland America Cruise Line.  She is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, is a founding faculty member at the innovative private performing arts secondary school, The Academy at Metropolitan School of the Arts, and she is also the Founder and Artistic Director of best8.  You can also catch her teaching weekly at Broadway Dance Center.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Jess Cummings! Jess is originally from Montreal, Canada.  Her career first started when she joined the dance crew, Extreme, with which she went on to represent Canada at Hip Hop International where they won Gold in 2004.  Some of her credits since moving to LA include JBL Audio, LEGO Movie 2, VidCon, We Day, and so much more.  She has also worked as an assistant choreographer on Disney’s Raven’s Home and the band Now United.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Kelsey Lyna’ Richardson! Her career first started when she lived in Houston and danced for the Houston Rockets NBA Dance Team. Since moving to LA she has danced with Beyonce, Pitbull, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Brandy, Tinashe, and so many more artists.  She has also worked as an Assistant Choreographer to Amari Marshall for the 2019 American Music Awards for Ciara alongside Hi-Hat and Jamaica Craft.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Amanda Garcia! Originally from Dallas, she graduated from Chapman University with her BFA in Dance Performance and minor in Entrepreneurship. Some of her credits include Paul Mitchell, Burger King, Kevin Hart, PopSugar, Red Bull, and many others.  On top of being a dancer she has worked and been awarded as a choreographer.  Coming full circle, she did not let her minor in entrepreneurship go to waste, she has launched her own Eyelash Extension Business called AGLashes.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Kurtis Sprung! Born in Upstate New York, he has worked in both the concert dance industry as well as the commercial industry.  He has performed with companies such as Phoenix Ballet, Embodiment Collective, The Bad Boys of Dance, and he was the lead character of Cirque Du Soleil’s “The Beatles LOVE.” You may also recognize him from season three of World Of Dance. He has also performed with Neil Patrick Harris, Jewel, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ray Parker Jr. Additionally, you can catch him teaching across the country on JUMP and Radix Dance Convention.

This week on Movement Guidance we have Kim Hale!   From working as a dancer, to teacher, choreographer, agent, and professor, she now is focusing on her new venture in Public Relations. Some of her credits include the  2020 Netflix Holiday musical Christmas In The Square, The Ellen Show, Grey’s Anatomy, The Late Late Show, State Farm, Harley Davidson, Redken, amongst countless others.
