    Destruction

    Destruction
Those of you who know me, know that I am a huge fan of John Digweed and have been listening to him destroy peoples eardrums for over 12 years. So when he had a mix contest to promote his Structures 2 release on Beatport I had to get in. Was my mix selected? Well no... but that doesn't meant that I hate Digweed all of a sudden. Those of you who were familiar with the contest, know that it was for a 30 minute mix. So here is the full length rendition of that mix. Pretty nasty if you ask me but I'll let it speak for itself. Enjoy... Special Guest Episode (Jonathan Storm)

    Special Guest Episode (Jonathan Storm)
Here is a special guest Drum and Bass mix by ADG DJ Jonathan Storm. He is one of the most dynamic and versatile Electronic Dance Music DJs around. Jonathan Storm's energy is not only felt in his music but also in his showmanship. He is a veteran in the game having more than a decade of experience playing in clubs and lounges in New York City. Places like Le Souk, Guernica, Movida, Saphire and Porch to name a few. Jonathan was exposed to house music at the age of 12 by his older brother who at the time was a DJ himself. He immediately felt hypnotized by the sound of house and wanted to follow in his brother's foot steps. He started his DJ carerer at the age of 15 and got his first shot at the infamous Tunnel night club at the age of 21 in the late 90's where he was one of the residents playing along with Kris Spirit, Gonzo and Eddie Baez. His love for the music and it's culture is abundant. Jonathan's DJ sets have been praised for his excellent range, selection and technique. Whether its house, tech house, techno, drum and bass or anything in between, his passion is felt equally. With plans on releasing original recordings in the near future, Jonathan Storm is ready to take his place among the elite DJs in city and beyond. Jonathan will be DJ'ing at Bar 13 on July 20th and at The Copper Barrel on the 22nd. You can catch up Jonathan and all of the other ADG DJ's at http://www.meetup.com/Astoria-DJ-Meetup-Group/. So I went to this place last weekend and the main room sucked, but then downstairs in a dark corner and behind a false wall; there was the most amazing dark underground techno emanating from what appeared to be a converted storage room. An amazing night with some amazing tunes and a vibe that I tried to translate to this mix. Hope you enjoy... BTW, just realized that there is a ton of Guy J stuff on here... I think that deep down, we all love trance. I personally do not listen to it regularly and haven't actually done a full blown trance mix in almost 10 years. So I was in a mood and decided, what the hell? It ain't easy being cheesy!
