Poison Dart Frogs & Fire Ant Venom

Poison Dart Frogs & Fire Ant Venom

Opening with a curse from the infamous Marie Laveau, I'll dive into some facts about some of nature's poison with those pretty little poison dart frogs and fire ants. I threw the curse story in, because I thought of it as I was talking about fire ants. Down in New Orleans, there is a lot of hoodoo  witchery that involves the use of fire ant mounds while casting hexes.
So grab a drink, preferably not a toxic one... maybe a daiquiri?  and enjoy the show! :)

Throwing Reality Right Out The Window

Throwing Reality Right Out The Window

Strange, epiphany inspired ramblings drenched in hints of the Law of Attraction and the like. Logic, Realism and Science have their place, and they are needed and respected. But Intuitive, abstract thinking and imagination also holds a great power; that of the Divine. And together, they keep us moving forward. This episode is going to focus on the latter; I'm throwing reality right out the window on this one. Welcome to my world.

    Pondering Owls

    Pondering Owls

I've always had some sort of morbid affection for all things dark, mysterious and strange. These mystical creatures have represented the dark side of nature for centuries... with grace and beauty. A romanticized sort of darkness. Something to ponder on a Friday morning...

    Architects of the Wild

    Architects of the Wild

We constantly borrow ideas from the designers of the wild; insects and animals alike. They're fascinating- from bees to beavers, these creatures put as much care into their craft as we do. Just musing a little bit on the architecture and the designs of the natural world this morning.. it always gives me a little inspiration for my own projects, like building planters on the sides of trees and houses and barns.. akin to little hives. Or food storage below the water.. the way the beavers do it. Come have a listen, and maybe get some spring project ideas!

And for those fans of my sisters' band, Tuatha Dea, don't forget they're having another live Pub Crawl online this Sunday at 3pm :)

    Psychedelics & Sacred Healing

    Psychedelics & Sacred Healing

I've wanted talk about this one for a long time, but it's a tricky subject. Guess what. I'm talking about it this week anyway.
I have personal experience with the therapeutic use of LSD, and I'll talk about that as well. Psychedelics are not demons. Everything in your life has a duel nature; light and dark, good and bad. Medicines that help us can also be toxic to us. So can anything else. Join me today, as I venture to talk about my own experiences and opinions on the subject. Plus a little true story at the beginning that sounds like something out of a movie.

Air & Water; The Carriers Of Hidden Truth

Air and Water. Yes. They carry truth. In the essence that they carry everything; pheromones, which we all emit through every breath we take. Those pheromones that tell everyone around us what our real agendas are.
This is part two of my little witchy episodic talks. Next week, I'll be exploring how to use all the elements in personal manifestation.  Nature holds incredible mysteries. And the elements are her keys to opening a lot of doors...

    Elementals And Witchy Stuff

    Elementals And Witchy Stuff

This week's been interesting. I was a little spaced out, started listening to yogis, and got weird. Today's podcast will be a bit different, but we're all a bit odd sometimes, aren't we? (or "off".. who can be "on" 100% of the time, anyway?) Step into my head while I start to expose how I use the elements to "do" things. :) And have a great weekend!

    The Biophany; Nature's Musical Masterpiece

    The Biophany; Nature's Musical Masterpiece

The music we as humans compose is based on the very foundations of the harmonious patterns of this living planet. There are birds that sing in chromatic scales, insects that craft progressive rhythms, and thunderstorms that lend crescendos to the eternal soundscape of our natural world. We're all connected to it on a much deeper level than simple reflection, and we mirror these compositions in our own stories and songs.

Why Care About Endangered Species? ..& A Little Motivational Talk

Why should we care about endangered plants? Weird animals we've never heard of? Don't things go extinct all the time? Isn't that just the way of the world?

That... and a little talk about motivational stuff later in the episode. Have a great weekend!

Don't Be A Snake.. Like I Used To Be (No Offense To Real Snakes)

Don't Be A Snake.. Like I Used To Be (No Offense To Real Snakes)

There comes a time when periodically, we take a look at our own egos, break down just a little, and overcome those inner offences that hold us back. In this moment, I believe transparency, although terrifying, is insurance against idleness. Against that tendency to take one quick look at ego and then turn away, changing my mind about working on it.
Hence, Natural & Wild, a podcast all about those natural instincts and wild natures, will explore another natural transformation- my tendency to be a jerk. It's time to shed my snake skin again and get over that one.. hopefully, for good this time. The best way to change the world is to live as an example of the kind of world you want to see. So let's see if I can do this.

Haunted Foggy Moonshine Valley & My Irrational Fear of Guitars

Haunted Foggy Moonshine Valley & My Irrational Fear of Guitars

Foggy Moonshine Valley is a hauntingly protective fairy tale of a place. Living here has been therapeutic; it's taught me to let go of fears and anxieties that were holding me back from a good life.
In addition to that, this past Christmas has offered me a new opportunity to banish yet another fear. My irrational fear of a guitar. How is someone genuinely afraid of an inanimate object like this? Find out here, on Natural and Wild.. today. And find out how I'm learning to kick that fear out of my life for good.
