    Perfect Love

    Perfect Love
Preached Sunday evening, January 5th. 1 John 4:12-18 Our relationship with God is not performance based acceptance. We obey Him because we love Him, not to keep Him loving us. He loved us first, and He continues in perfect love toward us, unconditionally. God sees us as He sees Christ. Love is matured (perfected) in us when we understand His love. This gives us boldness and confidence in our relationship with Him.

    Love is Self-Denial

    Consideration and Communtication

    Consideration and Communtication
Preached Sunday evening, September 29th. Joshua 22 In a moment, a united, calm setting can become a place of division, conflict, and frustration. Two reasons things go from peace to tension is people acting without considering another's perception and people acting without considering that they may be misunderstanding what is going on. There must be consideration and communication for there to be harmony in any relationship.

    Put a Dam on It

    Put a Dam on It
Preached Wednesday evening, August 5th. Proverbs 10:19 There are characteristics attached to having an abundance of words: pride, lack of thought, and vain babbling. To speak & speak & speak shows a lack of a sense of need to listen, listen, listen; and therefore learn, learn, learn. A wise man withholds the words of his mouth. We need to put a dam on our mouth.

    When Love is Bad

    When Love is Bad
Preached Sunday morning, August 18th. 1 John 2:15-17 The world is a system or culture of values and attitudes that are built and led by the devil to be what he wants it to be. May God help us to live for what is eternal. When we choose to love the world, we're choosing to live for things that will pass away and won't matter. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

    Smother the Fire

    Smother the Fire
Preached Wednesday, July 3rd. Proverbs 10:12. 2 Samuel 10. Would you consider yourself a hateful person or a loving person? We all experience offenses from people in our lives. How we handle the fire of sin and offense will reveal to us if we are hateful or loving. Hatred makes small offenses big. Love forgives quickly and often without the need for justice or an apology. This message challenges us to smother the fires of offense with love.

    A Productive Father

    A Productive Father
Preached on Sunday morning, Father's Day 2013 Genesis 4:26 "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord." When a man goes to work each day, he knows he is there to produce. As clear as men are about what to do in the workplace, they are equally unclear about what their job of producing looks like at home. If you want to see spiritual kids in your home, then you need to be a spiritual man in your home. May God help us to raise up children who will "call upon the name of the Lord."
