Oh Momma & Daddy Podcast with Libby and Nick

In our inaugural episode as "Oversized Baggage" we chat about a great Valentine's day including good and bad Valentine gifts such as MC Hammer pants! We also discuss an epic tooth fairy fail - the jig is up!  Nick taunts Libby with a new podcast - spousal jealousy is real!   Find out who didn't know how to play duck duck goose and the best purchase of the month!  We round out our episode with a conversation about Libby's dad passing away - including a little bit of black humor.  Enjoy!

In this episode, Nick surprises Libby with tales of meeting famous people: Snoop Dog, Common, and the Black Eyed Peas! We cover weird hygiene habits and just how dorky Nick was in high school.  We recap Christmas vacation including our date night at a new Richmond restaurant - no one puts Baby in the corner! We discuss whether or not real Christmas trees are cancelled and how we went hiking in the pitch black dark with our 5 year old - classic us.   We wrap up our discussion with some epic favorites you won't want to miss!

In this episode, we podcast after a rare date night and cocktails. We get straight to the point - we need a new podcast name!  We recount our very different morning routines and Nick's weekend away.  Find out who caught whom listening to "B*&ch Money Fame" and what gifts Nick got for his birthday - one hint, a new plaid button-down shirt from Untuckit!  We talk friendship bracelets for each other and the fact that nobody's paying attention.  Libby wonders why she's so awkward with Nick when seeing him at work and why others kissing is too much to handle!  We round out our conversation on the glory of hanging up the phone on each other when we were dating and the Golden Bachelor.

In this episode,  we get into the meaning of Libby calling Nick "Mom!" How much therapy does she need? As a blended family with shared custody of 3 of our 4 kids, we reveled in the family of 6 being back together after a summer apart and the hustle and bustle of school starting.  Our youngest started kindergarten and now there are seatbelts on the school bus!   We also recount our house fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and exiting the house without pants. We discuss Nick's attempt to be sweet and romantic and why Libby loves Kelly Clarkson and country music.  Last but not least we talk favorites: A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, 2), Lawless lip gloss and mask, the best school notebooks, and Vans for kids!

In this episode we recap our journey to see the Taylor Swift Eras Tour in  in Nashville! From our failure to launch to finding the perfect concert outfit, we cover it all.  Within minutes of arriving in Nashville, we ran into Blake Shelton and made sure he knew we loved him!  We chat about seeing Taylor from the nose bleed section of the Nissan stadium surrounded by screaming/singing fans including one who very much reminded us Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter.  Nick also hilariously recounts Taylor's big surprise.  Despite all that Nashville goodness, Libby and Nick note Libby's grumpy spell but it's not all bad.  Lastly, we talk about our twins, the Ripas - we think wife and husband duos are the best!

In this episode Libby and Nick reflect on their kids stepping into social media.  Libby revels in her new pink chair and how she just had to find Adidas shoes on their honeymoon! Nick hilariously and painfully recaps the musical the Book of Mormon and we highlight Schitt's Creek and Letter Kenny.  We recount our youngest child's first playdate - a smashing success!  Nick claims Libby is bad at buying concert tickets, but she knows he's going to love Chris Stapleton and tell her how much he looooooooooooooves her. Libby also tries to hook Nick up with another dad, but Nick's not having it.  We also discuss Libby having a hard time letting go of the baby phase and what our alternatives might be.  Lastly, we round out our discussion with the parenting fail of the week and our favorites!

In this episode Nick debuts the new podcast rap!  Libby and Nick (aka Oh Momma and Oh Daddy) recount a great quadruple date night out in the city - it reminded them of prom!  Libby rejoices in receiving Taylor Swift "Midnights" tickets from Nick as an all-inclusive holiday gift.  She is positively titillated about going to Nashville on their adults-only weekend! Nick finally gets to tell the legend of the godly barrel-chested Egyptian who visited our church and played his guitar straight into Libby's heart.  We also celebrate the John Legend of our local church. Finally, Libby can't tell if she's fabricating memories and Nick learns that Libby has always been a modern day woman.

It's our quarter-life episode and we're loving it!  In this episode, we reminisce about 90s cable tv and that time Libby bought Nick a gift certificate to  "Warm Good Time Massage 2."  We reflect on the shift in our blended family dynamic as we went from 2 kids on vacation to 4 kids back at school and us working - in short, parting is HARD. Libby avows she will not be watching the Bachelor this season and can't believe what her mom's favorite tv show is!  We remember where we came from - from Manassas to Alaska.  We fondly recount one of our favorite dates at Friendly's at the beginning of our relationship and how we had established make out parking lots. We also recount what happened when we took a trip to Charleston, SC, and who mentioned marriage first! Libby prompts Nick to help them become county pickleball champs while Nick zeros in on selling an American Girl bunkbed.  We round out our conversation with some thoughts on Prince Harry's memoir, Spare and, last but not least, Nick finally freestyle raps on the pod in realtime!
