    In this episode I talk to Dr Jenny Girdler who is currently a Leadership Fellow in Net Zero/Sustainable Dentistry in the UK whilst out of program from Oral Surgery Specialty Training.

    We discuss why Jenny chose to take a year out of training and then focus on what sustainability is in relation to healthcare. Jenny outlines the importance of sustainability and the legislation which exists for healthcare professionals in the UK, and how it is being integrated into the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculums. She also gives us tips as to what we can do as individuals to support this.

    Dr Wendy Thompson  joins Richard, from the University of Manchester who is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Primary Care. Her research interests and PhD focused on antibiotic prescribing and the issues surrounding this in Dentistry. 

    They share a frank discussion about issues surrounding prescribing with a focus on antibiotics in oral surgery.
