675 | An Opportunity To Celebrate And Honour Women

675 | An Opportunity To Celebrate And Honour Women

In this episode, we talk about the energy and experience of International Women’s Day, and the theme of 2024 is Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress. It is an important day because

women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, or political. Now do I wish it was celebrated more often and in other ways, the answer is yes. I have a few thoughts to share on this.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. It is an opportunity to celebrate women’s accomplishments, highlighting the work that still needs to be done and connecting women from all over the world.

    2) I feel like corporations are celebrating this and there’s more room for female entrepreneurs to celebrate each other.  A rising tide does lift all ships.

674 | Your Voice Goes Further Than You Think with Kristina Coccoluto

In this episode, we speak with Speaker and Patient Advocate Kristina Coccoluto. Kristina is a previvor, born with the BRCA1 mutation, leaving her with an 87% lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer and a 60% risk of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took her circumstances into her own hands and began her marathon journey as a distraction before having a risk-reducing double mastectomy. Raising funds and awareness for the cancer community for almost a decade, she knew she could serve others on a deeper level, but didn't quite know the direction to take. And last year, as she crossed the Boston finish line, 28 weeks after a complete hysterectomy everything she had endured began to make sense. Kristina is a wife, mom of 3 kiddos, melanoma survivor, and a 3 star Abbot World Major Marathoner and she's not done yet. Kristina is stepping into her purpose by using her voice as a motivational speaker to empower others, advocate for change, and provide hope for those facing their own mortality.

    In this episode, we discuss:
    1) Kristina’s story, the choices she had to make concerning her health and her risks, and how it was a gift to have choices as so many prior generations didn’t have the gift of these choices.

    2)  How this journey has been so healing for Kristina, how she is learning to see herself differently and realize the impact and the reach her voice and story can have to help others who’ve felt alone and isolated in their journeys.

673 | You Think And Act Like It’s Further Away Than You Think

673 | You Think And Act Like It’s Further Away Than You Think

In this episode, we talk about our thoughts how far away we think something is, and how our thoughts, beliefs, and actions are keeping it further away.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) Your actions will show up according to and be consistent with how far away you think “it is”.  If you tell yourself that something is far away, your energy, actions, and how you respond will be as if it is far away.  A lot can change quickly when your actions show up and match that.

    2) I heard Ed Mylett say that most of us have a depth perception problem.  Because you think it is further away than what it is, you have created patterns, beliefs, thoughts and processes, actions steps, habits, rituals, and ultimately results that keep what you are working towards further away than you think and keep it further away.

672 | Resiliency Is Never Fun In The Moment

672 | Resiliency Is Never Fun In The Moment

In this episode, we talk about resiliency and how it is never a fun lesson to learn in the moment.

“Resilience is the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.”

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) Resiliency is never fun in the moment and you don’t realize what you are building until later, until you come across another situation, maybe a similar one and you recognize that you are acting or responding differently, and you see that you are building your resiliency muscle.  It is a muscle and much like a muscle in the gym, it requires you to break it down, for it to rebuild during rest. You don’t see your work in the time you did your workout or when you go to the gym, you see it later when your numbers go up or your strength increases.

    2) Can you build resiliency without building a hardened heart?  I believe it is entirely possible and it starts with the practice of self-compassion and honouring how far you have come.

670 | What Would Your Future Self Say?

670 | What Would Your Future Self Say?

In this episode, we talk about what your future self would say. Let’s play a fun game, and look at one year from today, February 2025, and what would your future self say to you? How would you look back with pride for how you showed up for yourself, what you said yes and no to, the boundaries you put into place, how you honoured your energy and joy, and how you showed up for yourself?

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) The idea for this episode came from the sharing of recent episodes, if you don’t take the time to enjoy the steps, actions, and mundane steps in between you will never enjoy the final destination and sometimes as humans, we have to work backward first to see how far we have come instead of always looking forward.

    2) Life is teaching us lessons every single day. What am I saying yes to today that I now have new information and wouldn’t say yes to it? You will never reach a bigger goal than you can dream of.  How big can you allow yourself to dream, think, show up as, or even surround yourself with people who can show and inspire you to stretch yourself?  You aren’t that version of yourself YET.

669 | Be Willing To Choose Your Future Self

In this episode, we talk about making choices from the energy of your future self and where you are going and not where you have been.  I am sharing an experience that I witnessed firsthand with clients and I was so damn proud of them and wanted to share it with you.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) Action trumps fear and consistent action steps will be the building blocks to create the shift in you that is available.

    2) Your future dream or vision requires you to show up for yourself, do the uncomfortable thing, choose growth, believe in yourself a little bit more, and know that your actions are serving a bigger purpose

667 | The Art & Skill of Coaching - Coach Series with Jess DeMarchis

In this episode, I am resharing an interview with Jess DeMarchis on the Art and Skill of Coaching Podcast.  We dove into the conversation of why NLP, and why the coaching industry requires more standardization, especially when dealing with people’s traumatic stories and experiences.  Jess went deep into my story that led me to NLP, why I felt called to it, and why I knew building a certification program was my next step even when it didn’t make logical sense.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) That you can do ‘the work’, but if you’re lacking results, you might not be going deep enough. I found myself in a hospital bed before I discovered the modality that would change my life and health. Tune into today’s coach interview to learn about NLP and the power deep coaching can have in both your life and your client’s lives.

666 | Put Your Freakin Blinders On

666 | Put Your Freakin Blinders On

In this episode, I want to talk about blinders and how a lot in your life can change when you put your freaking blinders on.  Comparison is a very slippery slope, it will take you off your game, and block you from using your gifts. There are people who will expand us and allow us to grow and other people that will trigger us and block us from moving.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) I continue to have conversations with clients and people who are constantly stuck in a spiral of comparison.

    2) Shifting comparison starts with practicing gratitude for what you already have, focusing on your strengths, celebrating others, learning to stand in the gain and comparing yourself to your past self, and not stressing over how others are doing it in their business and life compared to you.

664 | It Takes More Than Writing Your Gratitudes

664 | It Takes More Than Writing Your Gratitudes

In this episode, I want to share a quick continuation of what changed in January of 2024 and how I decided to stop writing my gratitude and feel it.  Sounds woo-woo doesn’t it, yet it has been a huge shift for me and I knew I was being called to share it with you.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) Focusing on your gratitude is more than checking a box, doing the thing, and “saying you are committed to your personal growth.”  If you are only concerned with checking a box, then you are in the process of doing more and not experiencing it.

    2) A tool we learn in NLP is called anchoring, and this is a method of anchoring in emotions.  Much like we anchor in triggers and stressors, we can also anchor in the positive, higher vibration emotions too. Anchoring allows you to feel any state or emotion any time you want, it is anchored in the work of Ivan Pavlov. The best states to anchor are naturally occurring states, vivid and highly associated states.

    3) January was such an incredible month that we anchored it in with a trip at the end of the month to Toronto and it was about so much more than buying a hat, thank you Lillyput Hats!

    663 | What Changed In January 2024 – Part 2

In this episode, I want to share part 2 of a personal story that has been tough to share and how I almost threw in the towel on my business on December 31st, 2023.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) 2023 brought incredible challenges that were not easy to navigate and brought up a ton of doubts, lack of belief, and imposter syndrome.

    2) I found myself putting the wall up/armor because it wasn’t safe to share yet, and feeling lost and lack of belief in myself.

    3) Getting clear on the vision I wanted, I cleaned up the energy leaks, focused on how I wanted my life and business to feel, and went all in on myself, my health, my business, and my clients and I started making it fun again!

In this episode, we speak with CEO Ian Clarke.  At 46, Ian was bankrupt and given 1000 days left to live. 5 years later, he survived and built a raw supplement business direct to consumers from his basement which reached hundreds of thousands of people in 2 years. 661 | What Changed In January 2024 – Part 1

In this episode, I want to share a personal story that has been tough to share and how I almost threw in the towel on my business on December 31st, 2023.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) 2023 brought incredible challenges that were not easy to navigate and brought up a ton of doubts, lack of belief, and imposter syndrome. This is a personal story and a year of living in my fight or flight era that I didn’t want to go back to but had to.  I know I am meant to do something more or bigger with this part of the story, so I figured why not share it here on my podcast?

    2) Massive financial challenges, family health issues, mental health, inflation, economy, starting a coaching certification, tapping into the vision that I could do something I had never done before, and putting the wall up because it wasn’t safe to share yet, and feeling lost and lack of belief in myself.

    3) Stay tuned for Part 2 in the next solo episode #663

660 | Change Is Not Meant To Be Comfortable

660 | Change Is Not Meant To Be Comfortable

In this episode, I want to squash a belief that we all seem to have that when things are uncomfortable we must be going the wrong way.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) Your subconscious mind is wired for safety. It is its primary #1 job.  So unknown is scary and fear is real, so how can you prime yourself that fear is just a sign that you are doing something new?

    2) A belief is a thought you keep having and perceptions are a collection of beliefs, so it requires conscious interruption of your subconscious thoughts and patterns, and to interrupt the patterns and perceptions, your thoughts have to be so hardwired that you override the subconscious thoughts on loop. You change the story of what uncomfortable means.

658 | How To Move From Setback To Success

658 | How To Move From Setback To Success

In this episode, I am sharing how to reframe my setbacks to see them as the stepping stone setbacks are the thoughts, and success is the feelings, and the difficult times have taught me lessons and they have taught me exactly what I need to know to get to today. When you can reframe the setback you experienced instead of seeing it as a failure

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) The way we view our setbacks will determine what we make them mean about ourselves.  Every single setback sets us up with stepping stones to build our steps to success.

    2) I shared a personal experience of how I show love, respect, and gratitude to my younger self because her work, mindset, and commitment brought me to today.

657 | Close Down The Old Chapter With Love

657 | Close Down The Old Chapter With Love

In this episode, I am sharing a mix of my limited knowledge of Astrology, Human Design, and my personal story, so buckle up, it’s time for some real backstories. This was inspired by my talk at the High Vibe Women’s Summit in KW, being a panel host and panelist at the same time, stretching and trusting myself, and going ALL IN on myself.  Something shifted in me during this event and it only happens when you put yourself in the spaces to stretch and grow.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    1) It is the closing of a 15-year chapter in Astrology for 4 cardinal signs, and myself and my husband are in that cycle. This had me go back and look at where I was 15 years ago and it stopped me in my tracks. This example has me thinking of The Gap and the Gain which is one of my favorite books, and it had me connecting so many dots in my life.  So get ready for a personal episode!

    2) As I share these parts of my own personal story and see an old chapter close, I close it with love, knowing it shaped me into the person I am today. It might feel like an oversharer, yet I am also a 4/6 Sacral Generator in Human Design and this had me remembering that I am meant to live these lessons, and then share them with others so that they can see themselves in my story. That is a strength of mine and when I am not playing in that realm, I am in a disservice to others.
