    Trash Fest

    Trash Fest

Welcome to Episode 177!  It's all trash, all the time!  What do you do when there just too many news stories begging to be painted??  You have a full fledge fest!  That's right -- The Boys had too many quality topics this week in Trash Talk so they have decided to have a Trash Fest for you!

When Mark & Casey sat down to plan the episode they both realized they had way too many Trash Talk topics to fill a segment and neither one of them wanted to give up any of their topics.  It would've been a knock down drag out to narrow 'em down so Linda suggested make it an "all trash episode".   The Boys have done it before but it's been a minute -- and this seems to be a great time to have a Trash Fest with all that's going on out here.

Casey's kicking off the fest with a recent teacher firing over her #bigbettys.  Next up, Mark's got a story of attempted insurance fraud out of Missouri and let's just say the culprits aren't so smart. Then there's a lawsuit filed by an AirBNB guest after the host demanded to be paid per the rental agreement; when the guest refused to pay, the guest went ahead and spilled all his tea.  Other festive topics include an update on the Impeachment (scam) against President Biden, the real tea on what happened with Kelly Rowland's Today Show "appearance," and a Cameo "performer" is upset after being paid for content and people are seeing it.

And you knew we would be talking about it -- the Alabama Supreme Court decision about the rights of embryos. The fallout is still evolving on this, but it's safe to say this one's a wreck.

Of course, Mark & Casey are giving you rec- (or wreck)- ommendations this week.

This one's full of hilarity, discourse, some piping hot tea, and plenty of faggotry!  So pour yourself some fabulous, festive port vintage, get your diaper together, and pull up a seat next to your GBFs.  It's time to paint!

    459 : Queer Legislation

    459 : Queer Legislation

Welcome to Episode 176!  This week The Boys are unpacking a new report from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) which was released recently. The information is frightening, angering, and depressing and you need to know more so your gay BFFs are bringing to the floor for you.  These are concerns touching all of our lives so it is important to be informed -- and The Boys are nothing if not educational!

The report provides an ongoing count and summarization of current bills and laws introduced in all 50 states targeting LGBTQ+ people already in 2024.  It's only February -- the 2nd of 12 months.  Some are geared towards Trans healthcare, Trans youth, curriculum bans, book bans, drag bans, and many more topics harming LGBTQ+ rights and existence.

In this week's Trash Talk, The Boys are touching on a viral meme, the new Yea album no one can find, and Fani Willis takes the stand and gives us some chuckles.  In the weekly Pick-Up, and outing with too much of a good thing! All this and recommendations (or wreck-o-mendations) too!

This one's gonna be sure to fill your diaper and maybe even blow your wig off, so make sure the diaper is fresh and the wig is secured!  Pour yourself a glass of delicious and comforting port vintage (you're gonna want it) and pull up a chair at the table with your GFFs.  It's Time To Paint!

    Grammy Raid

    Grammy Raid

Welcome to Episode 174!  Well... it's been a week!  This week's episode wasn't an easy one to get together for you, but with Linda's hard work met with Casey & Mark ensuring quality content is filling your streams - here is the fruits bore from their commitment to you!  This week The Boys are delving into a bit of what seems like gay history but is it possible it's in this, 2024, the year of our Lord & Savior!

In case you missed it, law enforcement raided at least 2 gay bars in the Seattle area on one weekend.  Mixed information was provided as to the reasoning for these raids, which coincidentally resulted in gay bars being "inspected" despite no underage drinking nor violence.  The gay and queer community is recalling trauma from the bar raids of just a few decades ago where many patrons were arrested, jailed, and outed regularly.  Many in the local community pointing out further harm in the relations between law enforcement and the queer community as well as further discrimination and negative profiling,  It's trash in 2024 and Mark & Casey are spilling all the tea.

This week kicks off with a discussion of a new theater piece receiving a major premiere production in Chicago.  Trash Talk topics include the Grammys -- the performances, the award recipients, and piping hot tea from the biggest night in music recording arts,  And, of course, The Boys are giving you their recommendations (or wreck-o-mendations)!

The Boys are firing on all cylinders this week!  So pour yourself some tasty port vintage, check your diaper, and pull up a set with your GBFFs.  It's Time To Paint!!

    Snubbery

    Snubbery

Welcome to Episode 173!  Just like Season 5 of Painted Trash is heating up, so is the awards season for film-making with the Academy Award Nominations being announced recently.  While there certainly were plenty or expected announcements, there certainly were some surprises, just like there always is.

This week, The Boys are sitting down and chatting about who wasn't nominated; and boy oh boy to people have some thoughts and feelings on a few of the names missing from the noms.  They call those "snubs" and as you might expect, Casey & Mark have some thoughts and feelings about the snubbery and the controversy surrounding the butt-hurt feelings all over the social-meeds.  Painted Trash listeners, callers, readers, and, obviously, the writers (maybe even a couple of viewers) are well-versed in the happenings but Mark & Casey are gonna lean in to this conversation -- and not just the two folks are worked up about.

But first, kicking things off, The Boys are discussing an outing to celebrate a birthday guy this week and Casey is spilling the tea on himself and, kids, it is layered, self-effacing trouble.  Later, Trash talk topics include Stiletto's fall to her knees, Republican border trash, a historic, on-brand artifact up for auction in the UK, and exclusive tea on the lawsuit against our Queen (of pop)!

    All that and recommendations too!

You don't wanna miss this one! The colors are out and they're glowing bright.  So getcha some port vintage, make sure that diaper is clean and empty, and pull up a seat to the table with your GBFFs.  it's time to Paint!

Of course -- The Boys have got recommendations (or potentially wreck-o-mendations)  for you.

This is a jam packed and hilarious episode you'll want to come back and revisit to check off the titles on this week's list.  So getcha a fresh diaper, pour yourself some of that horrific but delicious port vintage, and pull up a chair along side your GBFFs.  Its time to paint!

    Trailblazers

    Trailblazers

Welcome to Episode 164, y'all!  June's not the only LGBTQIA+ month. Sure -- we love Pride, but October is also LGBTQIA+ month.  October is LGBTQ+ history month, giving us some time to reflect on our communities history, struggles, successes, and PROGRESS! If we have learned anything the last 6 years or so, no matter how far we have come we cannot rest on our laurels and take a long pause to celebrate (and nobody throws a celebration better than the queer folk, amiright?).

This week Mark & Casey are honoring LGBTQIA+ history month by honoring some trailblazers in our history!  In this, the inaugural year for the Painted Trash Trailblazers episode we are celebrating trailblazers from our communal history who have made huge impacts in the community and world as a whole.  And like our trunts, we are going big for our first year of honorees!  The Boys are honoring six -- yes, 6 -- folx who created a legacy of activism and visibility.  Who is making the list?? You gotta listen to find out!

Of course -- we are gonna spill some tea, and talk some trash (maybe not too much about the Trailblazers) as The Boys are known to do. In this week's Pick-up, Casey is announcing a return for one night only, a spa day, and a fancy cocktail evening while Mark break a nail while binging a series.  Then, in a much abbreviated Trash Talk, from the headlines, somebody got fired for drinking on the job and you won't believe this story!

As usual, Casey & Mark are giving you recommendations (or will they be wreck-o-mendations) this week you will most certainly want to check out.

It's a celebratory (somebody wearing their summer suit separate? The one with the sheer sleeve with the side satchel?) reflective, and important conversation this week!  So getcha a nice pour of port vintage and pull up a plush chair to the circle.  It's time to paint!

    Spooky Season

    Spooky Season

Welcome to Episode 163!  It's October and you know what that means??  It's SPOOK-tober and The Boys are leaning in to it this year.  After an outing to the premiere of an all new sequel in The Exorcist franchise (direct sequel to the disturbing original), The Boys are weighing in and spilling the tea on the original.

This week's Mid-Section is all about The Exorcist  and The Exorcist: Believer.  There are some strange happenings from the set and occurrences involving many of the cast members.  Of course Casey is dishing on cast member tea; and, of course, The Boys are giving their thoughts on the expensive sequel which found it's top spot at the box office in it's opening weekend.

This week, Casey & Mark are catching up after a week away with their respective family members and they waste no time to delve into the happenings and, of course, talk turns to tales of food.

This week's Trash Talk topics include the historic and ouster of Kevin McCarthy and the embarrassing display of the GOP,  a new music single has trouble finding any airplay and the "musician" feels shadow banned, and a Texas woman who has had it with bad tipping.  And then The Boys have wreck-o-mendations (or recommendations?) for you.  It's fun viewing at least!

This week Casey & Mark are bringing the hilarity, discourse, and, as always, faggotry aplenty.  The Boys are kicking off Spooky Season as only they can, so fill up your healthy pour of port vintage and pull up a seat at the table with your GBFs.  It's time to paint!

    The Succession Of Rupert

    The Succession Of Rupert

Welcome to Episode 162!  From the headlines, one of the most influential news monarchs is taking a step back.  What does that mean exactly?  How will things be different over at the most popular newsrooms in the US?  It feels a bit like the final season of 'Succession' perhaps?

In the last week it was announced Rupert Murdoch, head of Fox News (Fox), is stepping back from his duties at age 92.  The word "retirement" was bandied about to describe what's happening but somehow the description under the title doesn't seem like a retirement we would want for ourselves.  It was also told Lachlan Murdoch (his son) is taking over leadership.  What does that mean for news?  Let the speculation, discussion, and curiosity flow as Casey & Mark are discussing their thoughts on the matter as well as the state of news and television currently.  There's a lot to discuss and unpack here.

To kick off the week's episode, in the Trash Pick-Up,  Casey is giving us the download of his night out at the Chicago Theater with Miss Jeffrey and Mark is celebrating family as a family member turns 90!  In this week's Trash Talk, #bottomdinner is trending, trouble between co-stars on Ryan Murphy's set, and a refund request on a flight from Singapore to Paris but you'll never guess why.

In this week's recommendations there a rare new limited series hitting a streaming service (given all the folks on strike in Hollywood) as well as a limited docu-series over 25 years in the making.

This one's chocked full of hilarity, discourse and of course, plenty of faggotry with your gay best friends!  So pour some of the last of that summer port vintage, grab your colors, put on a fresh diaper, and pull up a chair to spill the tea with your GBFs.  It's time to paint!

    Trash In The Theater

    Trash In The Theater

Welcome to Episode 161! Season 4 is marching on and boy, oh boy, have the headlines been good this week.  Everybody is talking about it -- the ousting from the theater in Denver of hypocrite and Congress-trash along with her Democratic date -- for "poor behavior".  Poor behavior?? Is that what openly groping one another, vaping, and singing along (allegedly very poorly) is "poor behavior"?  Not unacceptable?  Not inappropriate? Not public indecency?

This week Casey & Mark are discussing the antics from the news and their personal experiences given they both have been on stages across the land.  Stories, clips, and reviews abound with a healthy helping of shade. This week's Midsection is one to have you riveted and rolling!

Kicking this off this week in the Weekly Pick-Up, T.he Boys are discussing a couple of customer service experiences which left them feeling a certain type of way this week (and for Casey, maybe a broken tooth?). In Trash Talk, Mark is bringing the recent headline in Chicago of an attempted nude beach, and Casey's bringing to the floor the story of some stars are finding creative ways to help crew members currently not working due to the WGA/SAG/AFTRA strike.

This week is full of all the things you have come to know from Casey & Mark -- hilarity, discourse, and faggotry.  So raise your full glass and pull up a chair to the table with your GBFFs.  It's time to paint!

    Fall Film Circular

    Fall Film Circular

Welcome to Episode 160!  Labor Day has come and gone.  Pumpkin Spice treats and drinks are flooding the menus.  And while the temperatures in much of the United States haven't seemed to hit the fall levels just yet (thank GAWD), it's time to be talking about the start of the awards onslaught of films!

It's yet again,  film preview time -- and this segment is devoted to the fall films hitting screens near you.  This fall will see the traditional horror/suspense/ thrillers you would expect during the early fall.  There are star turns for several A-List actors, prolific and respected directors, and plenty of bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.  The Boys are sipping on the piping hot tea and giving your their best guesses on the hits and what to expect.

First up Mark & Casey are catching up on their weekend events in the Pick-Up where Casey has had a life altering gadget installed at home and he will never be the same and Mark heads off to the Great White Way in a short weekend trip.  This week's Trash Talk topics include a viral video where a bigot has a couple unwanted elevator visitors, a shocking and trashy allegation from a mentally ill fraudster, and biohazard in the air.

You don't wanna miss this one, kids!  So fill up your port vintage and pull up a seat at the table with your GBFFs.  It's time to raise your glass, spill the tea, and have a kiki.  It's time to PAINT!
