Today, we're talking about paying off debt utilizing the snowball vs avalanche method with math examples. We'll also discuss how making an extra payment to principal between due dates can help reduce the interest paid on lending and ultimately the total repayment amount. And finally, we'll include quick tips like automating payments.

There are two main methods for paying off debt: the snowball method and the avalanche method. The snowball method focuses on paying off your smallest debts first, regardless of their interest rates. This can help you build momentum and stay motivated as you see your debts disappear. The avalanche method, on the other hand, focuses on paying off your debts with the highest interest rates first. This may save you more money in the long run, but it can be more difficult to stay motivated if you don't see any of your debts disappearing quickly.
