NHL Alumni Give Pro Hockey Tips CFL Paul Lambert Too
08 NHL Alumni Remember the Passion Gala, Paul Lambert (CFL Montreal), Kraig Neinhuis (Boston), Gaston Gringras, Chris Nylan ( Canadiens ) , Dave Shultz (Flyers). One of My Top Reasons for attending the NHL Alumni Gala for Alzheimers Fundraising was to get a few tips for Young Hockey Players. The Alumni Players were more than happy to get the message out to young players. Even Gordie Howe had a message for the Young Players. Passing, Saving, Penalties in Hockey

    Passing, Saving, Penalties in Hockey
Watch this video clip and remember, if you want to score more goals you'll have to pass more. For the goalies, if you want less goals you'll have to cover-up the puck more often. If you can't cover-up then tell your defense to send the puck to the boards and out of harms way. Finally, you'll see an Interference/Holding penalty which happens often in non-contact hockey. Defense your much better off playing the puck than intefering with the forward. Thanks to the DDO Peewee BB Pirates for being in this clip.

    Hitting Tips for Baseball

    Hitting Tips for Baseball
Here's a Bonus Tip for coming to the website. I always let the first strike go by, I very rarely swing before one strike goes by. That motivates me and allows me to see the pitchers speed. Now I used to hit second, so I was hoping to move the first hitter over one base all the time. Create the dicipline to take strikes, and the pitcher has to throw three of them, you'll get many balls, and even walks before you'll get 3 strikes (Talk to your coach about this first). Hitting for Hitters seems to be out of stock, but follow these links and look for other similar DVDs for Baseball. Yes, I will lend out my copy (since the used copies are selling for $100 I didn't even put the link here). Search Here for Hitters Search Here for Pitchers Now remember I talked about Ted Williams, Here is his book. And Hank Aaron.

Dawson Blues College Hockey Team Part 1 Dawson College and Montreal Canadiens join forces to promote women's hockey
I went to find out about the fundraising (Skate @ Bell Center, you can now purchase tickets by calling (514) 931-8731 ext. 1205.) being done at Dawson and I ran into Nancy Wood and her Cameraman from CBC.ca at the Arena, There is one great story now on the cbc website. http://www.cbc.ca/clips/rm-hi/wood-dawsonshoot-070219.rm (if that doesn't work, just go to www.cbc.ca/sports) It seems the team is becoming very newsworthy, CTV.ca has been out to Dawson also. This news release is a part of the reason for all the Hype.... MONTREAL, Feb. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - An agreement signed today by Richard Filion, Director General of Dawson College. and Pierre Boivin, President of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club, establishes the Montreal Canadiens Dawson Women's Hockey Fund to award scholarships to graduating students playing for the Dawson Blues women's hockey team who plan to continue their academic and hockey careers at university. "The inspiration for this award was the tragedy of September 13 and our will, shared by Dawson, to promote women's sports and academic performance," said Pierre Boivin. Video: Use Your Defense Like The PeeWee BB Bucs Do !!!

Video: Use Your Defense Like The PeeWee BB Bucs Do !!!
If your a forward you can have the element of surprise if you go ahead and use your defense. Make sure you have a proper passing lane to the tape on the defenseman's stick, and make eye contact to be sure the defenseman is ready for your pass. Then keep the puck on the ice and give the defenseman a quick pass. The defenseman can often sneek in deeper into the zone and fire. If your a winger in your defensive zone, you want to get there before the puck does or before the shot get s fired. Enjoy the action at an Arena near You !!!

Quebec City Champions and Finalist from Dollard PeeWee BB

Quebec City Champions and Finalist from Dollard PeeWee BB
WoW !!! What a Weekend for Dollard Hockey !!! Mitch Trapid, His Executives, Developers, and Volunteers have a lot to be proud about, just before hosting the NHL Alumni Game This week. This Weekend The PeeWee AA Vipers Won Another Tournament Becoming Champions Twice This Season, The PeeWee BB Pirates Become 2007 Champions, and The PeeWee BB Buccaneers are 2007 Finalists at the Same Tournament. This story wouldn't be complete without telling you about the Photographers Comments. He mentioned that in all his years and all his tournaments from up in Ile-Bizard to colleges around Quebec, he has never seen what happened over this past weekend. Not only did the Bucs come out and cheer loudly for the Pirates to win on Saturday night, but the Pirates came out to cheer loudly for the Bucs on Sunday morning. If that wasn't enough, after the Final Game, the teams came together for Pictures, Congratulations, and Hugs ?? (To much information !). Well for sure there was an incredible amount of respect for both teams from each other, and why not ? The Battle was heated with a few penalties and goals back and forth, then saves back and forth, Then 10 minutes of Overtime and more saves by Darren and Marco, who allowed no goals. The Bucs had even started with a five on three, but they couldn't get the puck past Marco as the Pirates killed off the Bucs advantages. Finally to a shoot-out, after a 3 - 3 tie game. 3 Shooters each, and finally the Pirate's Shooter found the back of the net after a careful deek.
