    Happy Entrepreneur Holiday

    Happy Entrepreneur Holiday

This episode of the show is a special message and heartfelt wish from Cynthia Del'Aria to you, our favorite current and aspiring entrepreneurs. We talk about the challenge and the luxury of slowing down for the holidays and how to balance that with your priorities as you’re building a startup. We discuss the importance of family, friends, and reflection during this time of year and the opportunity in endings and beginnings as we close out 2021 in preparation for ringing in 2022. This is a time for reassessment, making changes, recommitting to your why and your vision, and setting yourself up for prosperity and success in the coming months.

All of that can be difficult to balance with the expectations versus realities of the holidays, when families come together, and there is often a mix of joy and sadness, love and pain. Cynthia shares her own struggles in this area and offers wisdom to help you navigate it all so that you come into the new year whole and with no regrets.

From all of us here at Precursa, happy holidays and a very happy new year. See you in 2022!

In this bonus episode, we get a little raw. What happens when everything doesn't go as you plan? How do you cope? Who do you turn to? We (are) on a BREAK!

    We (are) on a BREAK!
In this episode, we talk about the shifts in our execution strategy that have necessitated a little break. (We promise it'll be short.) During this time, we are getting a new podcasting space, reworking the pro forma (because profit is... bad?), and applying for research grants so that we can spend our first six months post-launch giving the product away and proving the technology works. Startup Focus and the Squirrel Swirl

Startup Focus and the Squirrel Swirl
Humans are, by nature, creators. We have new ideas ALL THE TIME. The challenge for us as entrepreneurs and startup founders is understanding when a new idea is an opportunity versus when it's just a distraction. Plus, how a trip to the grocery store is kinda like vetting and validating your new idea. Entrepreneur Defined: The Optimistic Realist

    Entrepreneur Defined: The Optimistic Realist
Thanks to our business model pivot, we've been re-working the pitch and the deck, and we've been re-hashing previous conversations with investors to get them up to speed. In the process, we've learned some incredibly valuable lessons about what it means to be an entrepreneur and the true (sometimes hidden) value of asking for money. Do I REALLY have to give my whole life to my startup? And did Elizabeth Holmes hurt all women trying to fundraise?

Do I REALLY have to give my whole life to my startup? And did Elizabeth Holmes hurt all women trying to fundraise?
In this episode, we answer some questions from our listening audience that sparked excellent thought and debate among the team. Several listeners questioned whether an entrepreneur REALLY has to "give up their whole life" to their burgeoning startup, and one listener asked if we thought that Elizabeth Holmes and the Theranos debacle hurt all women in terms of fundraising. Smart questions, thought-provoking, and a bit controversial among the crew here... But what do YOU think? Didn't see that (pivot in the business model) coming...
Technical glitches can lead to beautiful things if you let them. No more sleepless nights thinking about how to make that direct-to-consumer thing work... B2B sales strategy, here we come!
