In this special memorial episode of Sci-Fi Carnival, hosts Maryck Allyson and James Robinson celebrate the life and social impact of the late Nichelle Nichols, who passed away on July 30, 2022.

Although she is best known for her role as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura on the original Star Trek series, her contributions on and off screen advanced both the  the Civil Rights Movement and NASA space program.
