Today I'm joined in the car with my buddy, and personal trainer, Todd Hartman as we come home from the Total Archery Challenge. We had a great time at TAC! Todd just got into archery a couple months back and got to experience the camaraderie of archery and meet some nice folks. We unpack how he got into archery and how fitness relates to it. We also get to hear some of Todd's backstory and how fitness (and now archery) have helped him move beyond some of his challenges from the past.  

Today I'm joined again by Michigan native Jeremy Bugay. Jeremy was on episodes 98 and 144 and talked about deer hunting. Today he shares how for 4 years he's been going after turkeys and striking out. That is, until this year, when he sent out a letter and gained permission on a property that would lead to his first turkey harvest.

Happy today to have Clint Curtis on to share some of his favorite hunting stories and experiences with us. Clint has hunted for year but a few years ago he dedicated himself to learning more about deer movement, scouting, and maps. That led to a very successful 2022 season where he was able to harvest 4 deer including a mature buck.

In this episode Shane shares some of his favorite hunting experiences with us and we mix in some tactics in between. Trav experienced an unexpected gift one day while scouting and Josh experienced the opposite...the struggle bus. Yet both were able to achieve their goals and get a buck down.

Today I'm rejoined by good friend and hunting partner Matt Dove. Matt and I walked out of the Montana mountains back in September and have kept up here and there throughout the Ohio deer season. He was able to take a doe on public land and then he and I shared a hunt where he was able to get his first muzzleloader buck with just a few minutes left of daylight.

Today I am rejoined by my local friend Jesse Roush of SE Ohio. Jesse was first in the show in 2020 (EP. 54) and introduced us to "The Farm With No Name". We get an update on the farm and the work Jesse has put into it. We talk about some fun hunts he's had on it including his daughters buck from the ground last year. 

We then go a little deeper and Jesse unpacks his views as an agnostic. Does God have a name or is he just a higher power? We have a respectful conversation and dialogue about areas where we are the same and the journey we are all on.
