This one turned out very nicely, in my opinion. There is a nice mix of fast and slow, sweet and raunchy, hopeful and fucked. My Girl's Retro--great song. I think there is room to make it even greater by covering it as MY GIRL IS HETERO. Chixxdiggit! indeed A Girl Named Spike-- Mike Park and Pickles kicking ass Caught with the meat in your mouth--vegetarian porn star dilemma. Dead Boys still sounding snotty more than 30 years on. You just gotta blow my mind--perfect! cumming right in after "meat in your mouth" The Queers. This is end of the raunchy segment Skinhead Girl--This is so sweet...like the story out of a book... she wore braces and blue jeans. Symarip. I saw Mr. Symarip in Chicago last October and it was epic. Love Song--i'm like a cat, i like to sleep all the time...this is a love song, baby, and it goes out to you... Peacocks. A 3 piece with a stand up bass and great chops. Coming to Cali the first couple weeks in June. I will see them at The Blank Club in San Jose. Girl About Town--wears a different t-shirt everyday...goes out with a boy from the MC5. It'd be ok if he didn't hit her and sleep with the baby sitter. The Queers. Reminds me of Maddy in Chicago only because she put it on her myspace. Did You Have A Nice Life Without Me?--you made plans, I played in a band...did it all turn out the way you wanted it to be? Cock Sparrer. They have been rocking for years, but I just found out about them thanks to Cloverdale Dave. What a sound, and song writing to boot. Sunday Girl--cold as ice cream, but still as sweet...hurry up hurry up and wait...looks like he's in another world...please cum and see what you do to me, I got the blues. Blondie. The world's biggest band that didn't totally suck in 1979. Not just new wave. They paid their dues and were punker than you. Hey, Little Rich Girl--he's taken your freedom for a place unknown...hey little rich girl, where did you go wrong? You were a rich girl only having fun...The Specials. A great story and the music just perks along behind it and then in front. Rudi Wedding--rudy, rudy, rudy, rudy, rudy, have your heard the latest news.. rudy got married... in a pork pie hat and a black cravat...it was a jagger jagger wedding for a jagger jagger man...you should have seen all the rude boys run! Laurel Aitken. I never saw him. What a giant. His vocals are wonderful and about halfway through there is some fine sax and then a couple of trombone passages towards the end. Little Things--he knows the little things, the little things, they mean a lot...you see a kind man, take a step to help his fellow man...Deal's Gone Bad. It just moves along, not too fast, not too slow, then it comes back to that simple little keyboard line, and if you know the song and have had enough to drink you start to tear up. Finishes off dub-ish and perfect. Little Girl-- you don't know me I'm an ordinary guy...I don't know your name and such, and I'd like to know so much...I see you every time...and I want to make you mine... you're sending shivers down my spine...now that I've seen you smile, I'm happy for a little while...you know I try to make it true. Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars. Saw da Doktor in Chicago on the same trip as mentioned above. He was great. This song is so sweet and honest. So... Adam and Donelle-- this episode is for you. I hope it brings a smile to your lips, and just maybe a tear to your eye. I wish the best for you. And I'll see you down front! love, Miles

I have a couple of friends who are going to get married. I've been thinking about songs that would be nice for them to hear/play and also about songs that would be wrong. I never did anything about it. Finally, I sat down at my computer and opened up iTunes. I typed in "married" and selected some songs. I did the same for "girl" and "boy. Then for "marriage" and "love". Next for "sex" and "cock" and "pussy" and "suck" and "eat" and "lick"! I also started selecting songs I just happened to notice in my library for random reasons. It all went into a playlist. Then today I wanted to have some tunes to skate to, so I made a quick on the go playlist of the faster ones with less cuss words. And that is how this episode was born. I think it turned out fan-fucking-tastic. stay tuned This is the first segment- about 40 minutes long

See previous episode for circumstances. This starts off with The Peacocks, from CH. "no sex baby, I'd rather have breakfast" is a great lyric, and there is "It's ok, we've all seen better days!" Johnny Thunder is up next. He was with the Dead Boys in NYC when the earth was young. ALL BY MYSELF. Jonny Manak and the Depressives remind me of Johnny Thunder a bit. They are from San Jose. Jonny skates. Dead Boys! "I'm just a dead boy. All this and more, little girl. How about on the floor, little girl? I'll die for you if you want me too." Sucks that Stiv Bator got run over in NYC. Next, we move across the Atlantic to London circa 1978 with the Adverts. LOOKING THROUGH GARY GILMORE'S EYES Song about someone getting eye transplants from an executed serial murder. Gary Gilmore was executed by firing squad in Utah in the mid 1970's Six thousand miles west and 10 years later we have Bad Religion. In the night. 15 years and a thousand miles north--didn't know this was about geography, huh! The Briefs from Seattle. I'm Poor and I'm Wierd. Bored Teenagers by The Adverts. The lyrics are spot on. with emotional rages bored out of our heads bored out of our minds London 1977. It isn't the Sex Pistols. These guys were playing in the same scene though. THE VIBRATORS with automatic lover. I saw them once at the Blank Club in SJ in 2004-ish. They were great and drove away in a mini-van. She's the kind of thing I was warned about by my mother Run for cover, run for cover I don't need anyone don't need no mom and dad don't even need you too sonic reducer ain't no loser I don't type fast enough... I watch them from my room they're just passing by I'm not just anyone I got my time machine My electronic dreams sonic reducer sonic reducer Then I'll be 10 feet tall and you'll be nothing at all That is the Dead Boys flailing away with SONIC REDUCER. Just tremendous from beginning to end. Next are LeftOver Crack come to us from New Jersey some time in the past decade or so. AND WHEN THERE IS NO HOPE, I SMOKE THE CRACK AND SHOOT THE DOPE. It isn't my way out, but it is damn powerful. There is some killer bass in this song and I love the strangled vocal noises. Makes you want to pick up a brick and throw it. Much lighter, but still great. Punk Rock Girls by THE QUEERS. It is really bubble gum punk, but I love it. Yummy yummy punk rock girls, I wish they all were punk rock girls. I saw the twice and both shows were great. The one at Bottom of the Hill in 2006 was epic. The Manges and The Methadones opened. They played a Screetching Weasels song, Cindy's on Methadone that I never thought I would hear live. The Clash. He don't like his boring job now. Fill it up Jacko. Janie Jones was a famous London madam/prostitute. More Queers. Kicked out of the Weebeloes! Daddy beat me with a hose I punched her in her snotty nose I guess that's the way it goes That's all. I typed this as the podcast was playing so if it is wrong, or lousy, well... Blow me! Miles 12/17/2008 11:20 PM
