    EPISODE 5 -- SPIRITUAL WARFARE PART 2

    EPISODE 5 -- SPIRITUAL WARFARE PART 2

Episode 5 of the Spiritual Growth Podcast explores Spiritual warfare part 2, in which we gain more understanding of God's kingdom, of hell, of free-, evil and rebellion.

God loves us enough to give us free-will. We can use our free-will to return God's love and strive to be more Christlike or to rebel and remain in the prison of selfishness and pride.  The ultimate example of pride is Satan’s desire to exalt himself above God.

When we begin to believe in Jesus and follow Jesus, we become a threat to the enemy. He hates believers because he is afraid of us. If we are prepared for his tricks we can resist the enemy and he will flee from us. This episode shares the enemy's tricks and how we can overcome them.

Overcoming begins with recognizing the enemy voice, naming it which engages the neocortex the logical mind, and then distracting yourself after you talk back to the enemy voice. There's more to it but that provides a good beginning and this podcast fills in the gaps.

Episode 4 of the Spiritual Growth Podcast explores Spiritual warfare part one, in which we begin to understand more about the kingdom of heaven which requires that we understand hell, which requires that we have to understand free-will which opens the possibility of evil and rebellion.

    EPISODE 3 -- GOD'S LOVE -- A 30000 FOOT OVERVIEW

    EPISODE 3 -- GOD'S LOVE -- A 30000 FOOT OVERVIEW

Episode 3 of the Spiritual Growth Podcast explores God's love for us as seen in His Living Word , the Bible. Here we learn about God's love and his greatness.

Pastor Milton Vincent in his book A GOSPEL PRIMER FOR CHRISTIANS, Poses an interesting question: what should Christians do with the gospel once they've come to believe in Jesus Christ as Creator and Savior?  To answer the question he shares a daily practice that has blessed him for decades, blessed him even more than preaching sermons on Sundays.  He explains that he preaches the gospel to himself every day.

In the middle of the book, he wrote a wonderful narrative putting the gospel into modern terms for us to preach to ourselves every day. Here in Episode three, I share that 7 minute narrative with you.  Listen to it repeatedly. Preach it to yourself every day. I do.
