    Thaddeus Russell, born on September 17, 1965, in Berkeley, California, is a historian known for his unconventional views, as showcased in his book "A Renegade History of the United States." Raised near the Black Panthers' headquarters by parents involved in the International Socialists, he pursued an education in history and philosophy, culminating in a Ph.D. from Columbia University. His academic career spans several prestigious institutions, including Columbia, Occidental College, and Barnard College. Russell is also the founder of Renegade University, an educational platform that mirrors his unique approach to history and philosophy​
