    We get a chance to talk with Clare Scotti from the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce and the team from the new Tehachapi Cement Plant (formerly Martin Marietta & Lehigh-Hanson). Blaze Moran Plant Manager and Maria Cincis Community Relations Manager tell us about the transition taking place with the newly named Tehachapi Cement Plant recently purchased by Unacem. We get a chance to learn about the plants long 100 plus year history in Tehachapi and the multi-generations of families that have been employed at the facility in Monolith.     Saving Lives by Donating Blood w/Houchin in Tehachapi

    Shane Hubbard the Marketing and Communications Manager for Houchin Community Blood Bank (HCBB) come to the TehachaPod studio to talk about saving lives. We talk about the success from our Tehachapi mobile blood drives and the constant need to refill the blood bank. HCBB joins the City of Tehachapi, Tehachapi Vineyard Church, and the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District every two months on a whole blood, platelet, & plasma drive. For the past 5 years we have worked with our community partners to help fill the blood bank, Shane explains why there is such a constant need and how the donated blood products are used in Kern County.
