Elise Mitchell Discusses Acquiring School Contracts

Elise Mitchell Discusses Acquiring School Contracts
Elise Mitchell, M.S. CCC-SLP graduated from Missouri State University in 2013 and quickly entered the world of schools by working for virtual staffing companies for six years an SLP, school sales person, and as a manager. After years of working with virtual services and provider management, Elise stepped away from the school staffing industry as she found herself suffering from burnout and low job satisfaction. However, shortly after stepping away, an opportunity to directly contract with a school fell into her lap, and Elise discovered that she loved working WITH schools but not FOR them (or anyone else).

In 2019, Elise founded The Therapist Support Network with the goal of providing school SLP, OT, and PT contractors with materials, community, and support.  She’s the creator of “The School Contractor Packet” and “School Contractor Training”, two resources created to simplify the process of contracting for individual contractors.

When she's not contracting or coaching,  Elise is spending time with her family on their little farm in Missouri!

Acey Holmes Discusses the Power of Play at Work

Acey Holmes is a southerner by birth pulled to Colorado by the mountains. She spent much of her professional life helping children of all abilities communicate (mostly through play!). Jamie Giannino Discusses Owning a Boutique Private Practice

Jamie Giannino, SLP is the owner of Wordwise Speech Therapy, a boutique private practice specializing in early language, parent training, school age language, and speech sound disorders. Wordwise Speech recently branched off to include a nonprofit charity, Wordwise Speech Foundation wherein Jamie donates time, therapeutic intervention, and scholarship funds to families that demonstrate economic hardship. Telepractice is just one of the many areas of clinical expertise and excellence that Jamie offers, based on her career working in varied clinical settings. Jamie has a penchant for seeking out the fun in life, and blending that with her teletherapy, fully believing that time spent having fun for oneself, away from speech therapy makes one a better speech therapist!
