Well, this is not the way I wanted to drop another 643 podcast, but we need to grieve together. Yesterday was a colossal failure on all ends. Let's get it out together, cathart a bit, and get prepped for 2 must win games. Luckily for us, Strider/Fried is a hell of a combo when you have to win 2 in a row.

The Braves dropped game 1 to the Angels, but we're not going to focus on that because today is the trade deadline! It's impossible to figure out what AA has in store, but that doesn't mean I don't have some ideas. We'll discuss those on today's episode of 643.

The boys are boppin and the Braves are crushing everyone. Stop me if you've heard this before, but June is the month of the Braves. With everything going so well, it's pretty much impossible to pick just 1 or 2 guys to really give kudos too, but we'll give it a shot

The Braves salvage a game against the Dodgers behind yet another outstanding start from Bryce Elder, something that has become an expectation at this point. The expectation around baseball is that Elder will eventually get El Kabonged by the regression monster, but I'm not so sure that's the case. Not only do I think what Elder is doing is sustainable, but I also think the very idea that his results are surprising says more about us as fans than it does about Bryce. I'll do my best to explain my position today.

The Braves drop game 1 to the Dodgers as Freddie Freeman had a very familiar performance, this time for the bad guys. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only controversy from last night and I find myself forced to confront my fellow Braves fans. Good thing it's Strider day.

The Braves steal a victory in Texas last night and a series win for the first time in 20 years. Ronald Acuna continues doing MVP things, and the Braves head back home on much better footing that they did leaving Toronto. Get ready for some fun, young matchups as Seattle comes to town.

After the worst series of the season in Toronto, the Braves came to play in Texas, putting on a power display that serves as a good reminder of what this team can do. Charlie Morton was incredible, and the Braves now turn to Jared Shuster in game 2 as they look to seal a series victory

Some very somber news from the Braves today as Max Fried was placed on the IL for a forearm strain and the NL's frontrunner is now scrambling to figure out how to fill 2 holes in the rotation. The bright side is the offense now gets Travid d'Arnaud back, which should be a nice addition, but there's no sugar coating it: Today is not a great day

The Braves blasted 6 homers, put up 14 runs, and it still somehow ended up being a weird game. The Braves turn to Dylan Dodd looking to secure the sweep against Miami today. What a week.

Fresh off of another series victory, the Braves head to Miami to put the Marlins on ice and get a measure of revenge for AJ Minter. To do that they'll need to topple last year's reigning Cy Young winner in Sandy Alcantara, but all things considered? I'd say things are looking mighty fine in Atlanta right now, with the promise of even better days to come.

Spencer Strider was absolutely sensational over 8 innings as the Braves used the poor Marlins as a "get right" game. Now it's Charlie Morton's turn, as the Braves look to start a new win streak tonight against Bryan Hoeing.

The Braves take game 1 behind the returning Max Fried and a stellar day from Ronald Acuna, and run the streak to 7. They'll look to make that 8 and even up the season series tonight behind Spencer Strider as the Braves continue looking like an unstoppable force.

The Braves complete the sweep vs Cincinnati 5-4 thanks to yet another really good offensive performance from Ronald Acuna and a huge home run from Eddie Rosario, and the team heads into their first off day in nearly 2 weeks. Spencer Strider wasn't as electric as we've seen him, but there is a good reason to believe the shaky (for him) starts are a thing of the past after some postgame comments. Best of all, the Braves will finally start looking a little more like the roster we envisioned coming out of Spring Training as a few of the walking injured will be returning to the field in the near future.

Well guys, the Braves are finally back in the win column after a disappointing series against San Diego. Bryce Elder was fantastic, and Sean Murphy decided to pick a great moment for his first homer as an Atlanta Brave. More good news for the Bravos as Kyle Wright is set to make his 2023 debut tonight as the Braves look to stay in the win column.

The Braves beat up on the Cardinals last night as Acuna put the rest of baseball on notice that he is officially BACK. Dylan Dodd makes his big league debut tonight, and the Braves offense is rewarded with a lefty opponent. So far so good for the 5 time defending NL East champs.

The 2023 season is underway and game 1 gave us the entire gamut of baseball emotions. You don't want to take too much away from a single Braves game, but I'll you what had me really excited during the game and why you shouldn't be overly concerned about the status of Max Fried.

Opening Day is just 2 days away and the Braves look, on paper anyway, to be a juggernaut this season. It's hard to find anything to really be concerned about, so why not appreciate all the good that this team has on it?

We got our first upset in the WBC late last night with Australia blasting their way to a victory over the heavily favored Korean squad. As someone really fired up for the WBC this year, I'm digging what we've seen early on. Also we'll take a look at the state of baseball and why right now is the best time to be a baseball fan.
