The Royal Rat Authority - The Rescuers | The Aftermath Ep.205

The Royal Rat Authority - The Rescuers | The Aftermath Ep.205

So, check this out. A woman, named Medusa, kidnaps a little girl from an orphanage and sends her into the mines to recover the biggest diamond, The Devil’s Eye. There’s alligators, an old busted up steamboat, and a creepy guy named Snoops, but don’t worry two mice save her with a bunch of other woodland creatures. I would like to say I’m exaggerating, but I’m not, that’s the film. Also, she can talk to animals and I don’t believe anyone else can. Do with that what you will.

We’ve Captured A Command Post - Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection | The Aftermath Ep.204

There is finally some good news in the Star Wars video game world! After what seems like one bad thing after another, we actually get a remake of a beloved couple of games. I go on a bit of  a rant, and if any of you are fans of Star Wars games you will probably agree with me. It’s just like the simulations. Watch those wrist rockets!

Large Monsters Total Attack - Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack | The Aftermath Ep.203

The boys are back at it again with another Godzilla movie! This time with the longest title possible. In this one Godzilla is very hostile and spares no one, more so than usual. Everything feels a bit opposite with King Ghidorah being the good guy and Godzilla being the bad guy. In the end, it really was a Total Attack of Large Monsters.

When in doubt just go to your parents grave and talk to yourself. It is the perfect way to meet new people, and you might even fall in love, who knows?

Speed Of Quick - Speed Racer | The Aftermath Ep.198

Speed Of Quick - Speed Racer | The Aftermath Ep.198

Welcome to the Grand Prix, where there is supposed to be no death in this race, but we all know that rule is being broken. Despite his brother dying while racing, our main character is determined to win the big race. But would you know his brother is not dead, he just works undercover for a guy named Inspector Detector. There was a lot to look at in this one. Chase may have only been interested in one thing for the duration of this film, or should I say a pair of things.

The Musical Musings | The Aftermath Ep.197

The Musical Musings | The Aftermath Ep.197

In this episode Dylan wanted to talk about music, in video games or otherwise, but I ended up rambling about certain artists I have been enjoying. I jest, mostly, we did have a great conversation about music from some great games. At the end we discussed the deep lore of The Nutcracker ballet, so that’s something to look forward to.

Hjönse VI: The Kaiju’s Elbow | The Aftermath Ep.196

Hjönse VI: The Kaiju’s Elbow | The Aftermath Ep.196

Welcome our fourth annual Hjönse Awards! I really wanted to give the other contenders a chance, but this one was a landslide from all parties. We have chosen the one and only Godzilla: Final Wars as this year’s recipient. For those of you who may not know. This award is given to a film or series that we thought was going to be bad, or had little expectation for, but turned out to be great and surprised us in some way. This film has everything, guns, lasers, aliens, all the monsters, a motorcycle fight scene, it truly is a wild ride; and worthy of this year’s Hjönse Award.

    Gams - Game Releases 2023 | The Aftermath Ep.195

    Gams - Game Releases 2023 | The Aftermath Ep.195

We are trying something new with this episode. Instead of our regular year end review episode we decided to look back on all the games released in 2023 and share our feelings on them. There were a ton of great games to talk about, and we covered them all, but I made sure to highlight the ones that would get the boys all frustrated too.

This is the Mobile Suit Towing Company, we will tow your ship through space with our patent pending, Magic Powered Unicorn System. Call us for a quote today! Despite all the towing talk, we actually had a touching episode. Zinnerman reclaims his daughter in a touching moment. Also, for a second we think our nemesis, Full Frontal, is on our side, but that doesn’t last long.

Devil’s Homework - Hades Project Zeorymer | The Aftermath Ep.192

Devil’s Homework - Hades Project Zeorymer | The Aftermath Ep.192

Boy was there some trauma in the beginning of this series. The award for worst parents definitely goes to our main characters folks, that was rough. To make matters worse, the one girl  he is forced to be friends with tells him they are both Bio Freaks genetically made to control The Biggest Baddest Robot. He also has a rather handsy alter ego that is trying to kill everyone. How wholesome.

Psycho In The Field - Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Ep.5/7 | The Aftermath Ep.191

Another one bites the dust, five down and two more to go. Things are ramping up as we see our main man treated like a prisoner, but not for long. The Slap Man himself, Captain Bright, bails him out to save so he can save his true love. We get to see a cyber human get brainwashed, a simp put in his place, and last but not least, a full scale aerial fight with giant robots.

Ghost Of Kirks - Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Ep.4/7 | The Aftermath Ep.189

I’m really starting to think that you can’t have a Gundam show without a little trauma. Our guy Banagher is just trying his best, and he can’t catch a break even if he tried. We will see what happens next time on: “Why Do We Keep Putting Kids In Space Robots And Expecting Different Results?”
