Episode 17: How a Mission, Vision, and Values Can Pivot Your Business and Career

Episode 17: How a Mission, Vision, and Values Can Pivot Your Business and Career

    Mission. Vision. Core values.

That sounds like a lot of business talk, but the truth is all three of these concepts can be applied to our personal lives, our dreams and career goals, and to our own businesses.

It was’t until a business course prompted me to draft the mission, vision, and core values for Broken Glass Media that I really took a good hard look at the path we took since the blog launched in January 2018, and the future we had set out for ourselves. I looked back at the initial why of the business and my own personal why, and our mission, vision, and core values grew from there.

Everything produced from Broken Glass Media will come from those three solid statements and lists, and today’s episode is a look into our mission and what we’re planning for the rest of 2019. Listen in to hear where our why and mission developed from, what our mission is, and how we’re setting out to keep in line with it.

Episode 12: Managing Personal Wellness While Hustling in the Music Industry

Episode 12: Managing Personal Wellness While Hustling in the Music Industry

Do you hustle all day, every day to make it in the industry?
Are you exhausted, both mentally and physically?
Do you find that you're dragging yourself from meeting to meeting, networking event to networking event unable to focus?

The hustle of the music industry can definitely take its toll, especially on us women. I’ve been there, working full time, enrolled in a grad program, attending network opportunities, and even interning to get myself out there. I was dragging, had gained weight, and was not sleeping well. It wasn’t until I reached the end of my grad program that I realized something had to change.

I started to really analyze my personal wellness, particularly in four pillars of wellness:

    • Mindset
    • Fitness
    • Nutrition
    • Time Management

In today’s episode, I go through each of these pillars to discuss small, simple changes that I made for an incredible impact on my overall wellness. And today I’m feeling stronger, more energized, and ready to take on any challenge that comes my way.

If you’re ready to take managing your own personal wellness a step further, join the Managing Personal Wellness 5 Day Challenge at www.brokenglassmediallc.com/managingpersonalwellness.
