#301 - WOMEN WHO MAKE AN IMPACT SERIES: Your Work’s Impact On YOU with Dr. Laura Brenner

#301 - WOMEN WHO MAKE AN IMPACT SERIES: Your Work’s Impact On YOU with Dr. Laura Brenner

In today's episode in the WOMEN WHO MAKE AN IMPACT SERIES, Dr. Tarryn McCarthy sits down with the remarkable Dr. Laura Brenner, a former dentist turned influencer in personal growth and professional fulfillment. The discussion centers around pursuing lifelong dreams, whether it be in dentistry or a different industry. Sometimes, achieving those dreams doesn’t align with our desires and values. Dr. Brenner's openness about the struggle between conforming to norms and following her inner voice resonates with many people. It highlights a crucial moment where redefining personal success can lead to a happier, more balanced life. The conversation also explores self-trust, creativity, and the regrettable realization that many live by external expectations rather than their truth. Ultimately, it stresses the importance of self-awareness and the courage to follow a unique path.

After dreaming of becoming a dentist her whole life, Dr. Laura Brenner learned dentistry wasn’t a match for her. She practiced for ten years before leaving clinical dentistry to become a blogger, a speaker, and a certified professional coach. After her blog post, “10 Reasons Your Dentist Probably Hates You Too,” went viral, she began connecting with dental professionals worldwide who wanted more from their careers. This reaction inspired her to create Lolabees Career Coaching to guide dental professionals in designing their careers on their terms so they can create joyful, balanced lives.

#291 - Heal The Hurting Parts of Your Life More Rapidly

#291 - Heal The Hurting Parts of Your Life More Rapidly

In this episode, Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy talks about how embarking on a personal development journey can often feel like an endless pursuit of betterment, with each new year bringing its own set of resolutions and goals aimed at fixing what we perceive as broken within ourselves. But what if, instead of being fixated on what needs to be healed, we shift our focus to the aspects of ourselves that are already whole and complete? Honoring our strengths is about acknowledging them and understanding how they contribute to our well-being, financial health, and the joy we experience in life. By appreciating our gifts, we empower ourselves to approach our wounded parts with love and compassion, leading to a more holistic healing process. Our journey to self-discovery is also about celebrating the parts of ourselves that are inherently complete. It's about finding the delicate balance between personal growth and nourishing our intimate bonds. As we welcome the new year, we are encouraged to do so with a heart full of gratitude for our connections and the happiness that awaits.

#290 - The Most Potent Feminine Power For Greater Abundance

Amid the holiday cheer and the nostalgic end-of-year reflections, a lesson in the profound power of receivership took center stage. In this episode, Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy talks about the delicate balance between giving too much and not allowing ourselves to receive and how this imbalance can lead to a lack of fulfillment and burnout. It's a transformative shift from the conventional method of goal-setting to one that allows for greater abundance and fulfillment by being open to receiving the universe's offerings. She encourages us to slow down, allow unexpected outcomes, and practice unconditional gratitude. #289 - Enormous Success WITHOUT Stress

#289 - Enormous Success WITHOUT Stress

In today's fast-paced, result-oriented world, the association between success and stress has become a deeply ingrained societal belief. However, what if we could redefine success and dissociate it from stress? In this episode, Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy shares her epiphany about how stress and feeling overwhelmed are not necessarily caused by external factors but are often the results of our own habits and patterns. It highlights how we often mistake overworking for success, a mindset deeply rooted in us. The concept of success without stress may seem impossible, but this episode explores the possibility of breaking free from old programming and embracing a new paradigm. It emphasizes the importance of curiosity in overcoming stress and highlights how stress hampers our ability to think creatively and connect with others genuinely.
