    What It Takes To Surrender

    What It Takes To Surrender

In today's episode, I share with you how to surrender, a concept that can be challenging, yet so transformative. Contrary to popular belief, surrender is not about giving up or being weak. It's about releasing the need to control outcomes and trusting in a power greater than the voices in your head to guide you.

In this episode, we'll explore why surrender is important for personal and spiritual growth, common obstacles to surrender, and practical ways to cultivate surrender in your daily life. Whether you're facing a difficult situation or seeking to deepen your spiritual practice, surrender can help you find peace, clarity, and a greater sense of connection to yourself and the world around you.

Through meditation, prayer, journaling, and other creative practices, you can learn to let go of fear, doubt, and unhealthy attachment, and tap into a deeper source of wisdom and support. Join me as we explore the power of surrender and how it can transform your life.

How To Break Free From Your Negative Thinking

In this episode I break down a 5 step simple and effective technique on how to shift your negative thinking - you know those critical, judgemental voices in your head?
Well, the more I speak to other creative women, the more I understand just how important it is to rewire our conditioning and shift our focus to thoughts that are more empowering, positive and abundant (opposite of scarcity)

I know from years of suffering with anxiety and having such hard wired conditioning in the religious environment I grew up in just how frustrating it can be when your thoughts come in to block you and hold you back from the thing your heart is leading you towards.

Which is why I want to share these steps with you today so you can feel free from the voices in your head and go on to create whatever it is in your life you are wanting to create. Whether that's financial abundance, take your business to the next level, start a creative project or be more present with your loved ones.

Please don't go into the next year beating yourself up and overriding taking the time to actually acknowledge what you have created and how you have shown up this year.

    Mastering Your Mind

    Mastering Your Mind

I truly feel that what's made such a difference to the experience I'm having now as a mum, is the mindset work. The inner work. The 15 years of learning & coaching clients about the mind and the voices that can come up if we're not aware of them.

Knowing that I have the choice and ability to shift my mindset has made this experience so much more enjoyable. But it also comes in to be so important in other areas of life, like the changes I'm currently experiencing.

In this episode I share some tangible steps you can try today to master your mind and tune into your intuitive voice.

PS: I'll be offering The Creative Mama course one last time this year. If you want to get clear on your vision and finally get a handle on your self doubt and go into the new year feeling clear, confident and connected to your intuitive voice...join us in the upcoming November course.

How To Harness The Power Of Your Intuition

Being able to have the tools to harness your intuition, especially when it comes to making decisions has been fundamental for me since becoming a mum. But it's something I've put into practise for years as a creative and entrepreneur.

Being able to make decisions from the guidance of my intuition rather than from fear and people pleasing is a very important life skill and the practise of knowing the difference between the two has made so many things I've desired in my life, come to fruition.

In this episode I share how you can let go of fear and take action on what your intuition is guiding you to.

One of the MOST EFFECTIVE ways I connect to my intuition is through CREATIVE MEDITATION. It is such a simple and effective tool you can draw on today.

    3. Comparison - oof big one! How I've let go of comparing myself to other mums

    4. Patience - drawing on patience has been so important, especially around the changes in my mind and body

    5. Communication - using my voice and communicating my needs, setting boundaries has gone to another level, I share how I've managed to do it from a calm and loving place

    My Birth Story

    My Birth Story

Helloooo from the other side! It's surreal to be sharing my birth story with you and be on the other side of the experience with my now, 3 month old baby.  I'm so thankful for how my birth turned out. I truly believe it was a combination of the support team we created, the education & prep work we did and the many years of practising to surrender to a higher plan!

It was really important for me to hear positive birth stories while I was pregnant, so if you know someone who's pregnant, feel free to share this episode with them if they are wanting to hear an empowered and positive home birth experience.

I feel like the tools I was able to draw on and the mindset I had throughout pregnancy, labour and birth can be applied to so many things, not just birth. Creative projects, business and approaching daily life in a calm, empowered way.

Thanks for tuning in to this personal and exciting episode, the start of a new chapter and me integrating my 'parent' voice.

Finding Your True Voice with Karen Hollenbach

It’s with mixed feelings to share the final interview podcast episode for the year before I venture into the journey of becoming a mother. It feels profound to be sharing this particular episode with you, with a client and now friend, Karen Hollenbach.

Karen is a self proclaimed corporate escapee and company director who’s learnt most of her lessons from the school of life. She is a passionate advocate for exploring how to live a simpler and more meaningful life in the digital age and I’m so thrilled to have her on today’s episode.

Karen has recently completed The Voices Of… the 12 week program, followed by the Relational Voices program and it was wonderful to chat about her incredible transformation she experienced from meeting and creatively expressing her inner voices.

In this episode we chat about:

    • Navigating such a huge internal transition in her life
    • Her creative expression as child and school life
    • The moment Karen realised she wanted to show up for herself and her children within her career
    • Never having the intention to start a business, but having an intention to show up as a parent
    • The lead up and journey to creating her own business and consciously creating what she has today
    • Nurturing your inner child while nurturing your actual child
    • Introducing play and fun into her life through The Voices Of program
    • Inviting confrontational voices into her life through the program and how she can now sit with them comfortably
    • What Karen was looking for before the program
    • Her 1950’s fear voice
    • The exploration of her Royalty Voice
    • Karen’s journey with the Parent Voice

    ABOUT KAREN:
I’m a corporate escapee and company director who’s learnt most of my lessons from the school of life. My formal qualifications include a Graduate Diploma Education, Bachelor of Business Marketing and a Diploma of Management.

A passionate advocate for exploring how to live a simpler and more meaningful life in the digital age, I enjoy the therapy of writing as a ritual to help navigate my roles as an educator, mother, wife, daughter, sister and entrepreneur.

As an individual with ambivert tendencies you’ll find me pottering in my garden, or reading a book, writing, spending time with my family or walking in nature with a kindred spirit.

The Power Of Rewiring Your Conditioning with Rachel Crethar

The Power Of Rewiring Your Conditioning with Rachel Crethar

This week on The Creative Zone Podcast I chat with Rachel Crethar,  an intuitive hypnotherapist and RTT therapist who  works with clients all over the world, helping them with all kinds of problems including anxiety, emotional eating disorders, removing money blocks, relationship issues and even helping them fall pregnant naturally after years of trying.

I have been so interested in hypnotherapy for a long time and how your inner voices can be re-wired on a subconscious level. It’s so incredible as Rachel believes that if we can understand ourselves and peel back those layers of conditioning (that quite often aren't even ours to begin with), remove any old, out-dated beliefs that are holding us back, then we can have a richer experience and design a life that we truly love. After speaking with Rachel I felt so recharged and am really looking forward to experiencing Rachel’s hypnotherapy for myself.

In this episode, we chat about:

    • Rachel’s creative expression as a child through performance and role playing while coming from a childhood with an emphasis on traditional academic success.
    • How Rachel re-trained herself to see creativity as everything that pours out of us, rather then your typical creative avenues.
    • Identifying the feeling of anxiety within childhood as an adult.
    • How just a simple awareness of your beliefs can help shift your subconscious thoughts.
    • Why it’s important to bring your beliefs to your conscious mind.
    • How we can try to nurture our children today to not allow others' voices and opinions to be absorbed into their psyche.
    • A beautiful and intuitive moment with her son and nurturing him back from in utero conditioning.
    • Guiding her clients through past life regression and hypnosis and being able to identify their true voice.
    • Getting met with resistance from internal voices in hypnosis.
    • How Rachel facilitates ‘future self work’ with clients and in her personal life.
    • Visualisation during birth.
    • How motherhood has shifted her relationship with her creativity and lifestyle.
    • Hypnotherapy and fertility.
    • Why it’s important to explore the origin of trauma.
    • Rachel’s advice on navigating parenthood and keeping in touch with your true self.

Check out Rachel’s Future Self event coming up where she teaches more on how to envision your future self and embody your visions that come up for 2022.

Finding The Light In Your Life with Chantel McAlister

Finding The Light In Your Life with Chantel McAlister

This week on The Creative Zone podcast, I talk with the wonderful Chantel McAlister, a rural photography coach providing online education and coaching for photographers and hobbyists across the globe.

Chantel and I had such a lovely conversation filled with raw honesty and lots of laughs. I especially loved this conversation as Chantel and I discussed the signs & synchronicities the universe brings you and strengthening the muscle within you to be able to answer back to internal and external voices.

Keep an ear out for a double dose of Mum brain!

In this episode we chat about:

    • Growing up in a very creative family
    • The journey of photography through childhood to now
    • Chantel’s time working in a woodshed and how picking up a camera at that moment rekindled her love for photography
    • Stepping out of your comfort zone and working alongside the voice that asks “What makes you think you’re qualified to do this?”
    • Navigating the ups & down of running your own business
    • Creating a healthy relationship with work and creativity
    • Being okay with your own style and remaining true to your own creativity
    • Recognising projections of others
    • Chantel’s creative process behind shooting and being guided, literally, by the light

Finding Joy & Healing Through Creative Expression with Kara Morgan

Finding Joy & Healing Through Creative Expression with Kara Morgan

On this week’s episode of The Creative Zone podcast, I had the honour of talking with Kara Morgan, a comedic writer and performer who explores the hidden layers of the self through character base sketch comedy.

I love watching Kara’s videos online each week and her body of work is one that I connect with so deeply as she explores the inner voices through characters, similarly to my own work and programs. It’s such an affirming and comforting moment to be able to see and relate to her work on such a deep level.

    Today, we chatted about…

    • Kara's creative expression through childhood and never feeling hindered to be whoever she wanted to be
    • Growing up in a vibrant and creative church community
    • How Kara’s early years put her in the creative trajectory she is living now
    • How her inner voices present themselves in a physical way while performing
    • Navigating the mind/body connection in performance
    • Being encouraged by her therapist to name the prevalent inner voices in her head
    • Laughing at your negative internal voices
    • Allowing voices to have their role and embracing them
    • The ebb and flow of mental illness and the impact it has on your creativity
    • Introducing us to her more positive reinforcer voices
    • The creative process behind her incredible videos
