Following graduation, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship in SW Florida and then worked in GP for a year as a part-time associate veterinarian while doing research with the dermatology service at the University of Florida. She then completed a specialty internship in dermatology at the University of Illinois and then moved to California to complete a Dermatology residency at Animal Dermatology Clinic–Tustin.
