    The Edge of Fear Podcast

Nobody has all the answers, but most people have at least one. The only way to learn what others have to teach us is by talking to one another, listening and connecting. Part of what we're missing in our modern society is a deeper sense of connection and belonging. See the light in yourself, open up, and welcome others in. This podcast is meant to encourage authenticity, honesty, kindness and love, by sharing the darkness and the light. Sharing the realities of our human experiences will help us feel safe to feel, and then ultimately connect as a byproduct of those shared feelings and experiences.

#77: Idea Exchange and the If Only Refrain

#77: Idea Exchange and the If Only Refrain

Being present (and facing your emotions instead of just numbing) even in the thick of it. Not waiting until next week, next year, the next season of life to be happy, because there will be hardships in that chapter too. Sharing vulnerably, especially when it’s uncomfortable, and how exchanging ideas facilitates us thinking differently. Stop talking to shitty people. Be the light & love yourself, but you gotta put good stuff in your ears, or you become shitty.

#76: Food, Body, and Connecting Vulnerably

#76: Food, Body, and Connecting Vulnerably

How has dieting effected us as a society? "Compulsive eating... is a way we leave our self when life gets hard."

If we've all hit this pandemic wall, and are still not sure when regular socializing will happen again, how can we connect more deeply within the constraints and activities of what we're already doing?

Sit with it. Speak it. Feel it.

#73: Pouring Love On and 100-Days of Practice

#73: Pouring Love On and 100-Days of Practice

The confidence that comes from committing to yourself and keeping the promise.

Being kind and loving towards ourselves and others when it’s the hardest to do so.

One size fits all mentality? Not really real. Everything (from skincare to relationships to how we learn), every single thing in our unique life is going to be individual to us. Listen to books and podcasts about what MIGHT work, but know you MUST try different things to find what works for you.

It’s hard to be an adult. But we can do it.

#72: Consistency, Looking Within, Kindness Towards Self

#72: Consistency, Looking Within, Kindness Towards Self
    1. Pen to paper & keeping a notebook by your bed
    2. Keeping promises to ourselves (a 20-minutes-per-day challenge since the last ep and the results in just a week)
    3. Release the need for control - control is of a scarcity and fear mindset! Let whatever is in your life JUST BE. Let yourself be there instead of trying to control it.
    4. Pour love into our darkest spaces - The Insight Timer App- Practicing Gentle Kindness Towards Ourselves, meditation by Sarah Blondin
    5. Showing up for yourself for the sake of showing up, even when you don't feel like being good to yourself.

#71: Release and Relief in 2021

#71: Release and Relief in 2021

    Welcome back for Season 3!

Chaos isn’t over because of inauguration day. The chaos is us. Consistency is the word. Let's show up for ourselves this year. W/ real, tangible change thru micro habits and work.

Anger = fear/scarcity. We desire belonging! Having a shared enemy feels like purpose, but it's BS. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Give self more credit, love your people better. Show gratitude and love for what you have today - see if you show up differently. Love you - thanks for being here

    #68: Learning and Evolving

    #68: Learning and Evolving

5-minute daily meditation ritual to take on holiday stress: difference in patience, gratitude and overall clarity. Giving myself grace about caring about my diet in the way I currently am in this season of life. I want to fuel myself for a long and healthy life; it’s okay to want to educate myself on that, and it’s okay if I don't always apply it. Accepting myself in my current state, accepting my desire to learn more, and still listening to my inner knowing and intuition throughout.

#67: Trusting Your Gut, Asking Questions & Being Different with Ashley Nowicki

Life doesn’t always go as planned, but listening to your gut and going for what makes you happy - even when it feels selfish - is far more productive. The importance of being honest: if you don’t know, ask. No shame in not understanding something, and people will help or mentor you when you come forth in honesty and willingness to learn. Whatever your differences are will be your superpower; every field is interdisciplinary, and your experiences and background make you an asset. On IG @nowickipedia23

#63: Embracing Grief and Letting Pleasure Guide You with Sara Chizek

Sara talks about getting into alignment with herself and sacred and divine feminine. She highlights ignoring signs from the universe, feeling disconnected with self and physically ill, before learning to say YES to the inkling of desire and making pleasure a priority in her life through the work of John Wineland and Mama Gena. She found a community that lifted her, took a stand for her, and eventually, she got crystal clear on her own desire through connecting with her grief and accessing all her raw emotions to find her way out of her stuckness and ultimate liberation.
