On this episode I was joined by JR Borechelt, the man in charge of Waterfowl Assassins Guide service. We speak about the road he took to start his business. Than he jumps right into his thoughts on all sorts of knowledge on all the species in waterfowl. Very intelligent man when it comes to knowing about every aspect of hunting these birds. I ask him a few questions about the way he thinks how his season went last year as well this upcoming season. So hit play to hear about his knowledge about it. I was joined Austin Sandman, the man behind Honk Stompers Guide Service. He is located in Washington, he speaks about the aspect he deals with in that state. I ask him the questions of the path he took to withhold the business. They have different kind of season dates so it makes it sometimes different for making the hunt more successful. Austin sure does have it down to a science and knows what he is doing. I have been asking a lot of my guest speakers what there 5 year plan is. So Austin speaks a little bit on his plans for the next 5 years. Definitely look forward to hopefully running up to Washington and meeting up with Austin! On this episode I was joined by Karly Mathern, a Colorado native. Karly was born and raised in Colorado, a very beautiful state. She has started a path with a camera and photography. Karly was brought into the outdoors life immediately with her great family. We speak about how women can just be involved in hunting as a man. She also explains her time in the field and how she will do just as much or more than the next person in the field. She has always enjoyed the outdoors, so that’s when she came up with the idea to capture moments with a camera. She definitely has a great sense of how to capture the moment. 

On this episode I was joined by Austin Sherwood, a Michigan native. He is a great photographer with a great mindset on how to take the photos. Our conversations take course all the way from camera gear to the power of a picture. The way his photography life started is just as interesting as most people’s interest into taking pictures. It’s definitely an art form when it comes to taking pictures. Austin is the type of gentleman that understands every aspect of photography. The power of a picture goes way past a lot of people’s minds. Life is to short not to document any moment you can. Pictures will be able to tell a story long after you or the next human life is gone. Pictures also have an impact on bringing a smile to someone’s life. 

On this episode I was joined by Walker Davidson. We speak about the future of Arkansas and it’s current experiences. There’s a lot that he brings to light about the hunting in Arkansas. Good and bad come from all the people coming into the hunting in that region. A lot of knowledge came from Walker on this episode. I hope you all enjoy this one and take care! 

On this episode I was joined by Jake Davet, a Montana resident. We discuss Jake’s pursuit of an engineering degree and his personal and professional goals.  This is a great episode for any listeners currently attending college, regardless of what degree they’re pursuing.  We talk about how school is getting your degree and trying to find a job after graduation, and how aquiring real life knowledge is a lot more in depth and hands-on.  Another topic we discuss is discipline and what role that plays in a young adults life.  Jake enjoys duck hunting more than goose hunting, and he talks about his experience with hunting in Montana.  He’s also a part of the Pacific Calls promotional staff and speaks on his role with them. I plan on recording a podcast with Jake out in the mountains next summer, so stay tuned for that, as we are expecting that to be a great episode. I hope any of our college listeners are able to gather a sense of knowledge on how to create success within your life. Life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, and I’m sure you can say you know that. When it rains, it pours, so don’t forget the bad days. You have to learn from the past before you perform better in the future, but never dwell on the past. One of my favorite topics of this episode was youth hunting and the understanding that it should be a great effort from everyone on board to get young people into hunting. We touch base with what he wants to do with his life, with or without the great guys from Pacific Calls. Stefan is one of those class A gentlemen that has been through a lot in his life. It proves it self the way he openly speaks. We laugh, joke around, and talk smack with each other. In the flip of a switch, we are able to talk about some more serious topics. There’s more to life than just talking about success, and I believe we really brought light to that saying. Hope you all enjoy this wonderful episode, it was fun for me and Stefan. We talk about the traveling experience he has delt with over the years and how he manages the constant back and forth. We discuss his thoughts on what direction waterfowl hunting is going. Another topic we cover is how the birds are starting to catch on. Josh and I touched base about the guide life and what that truly entails. I was joined by a great gentleman that goes by the name Trevor Bennett. Trevor and I met down at the squadfest event down in Missouri. We hit it off and decided we should do a podcast over the phone. We talk about the day to day life of Trevor. He is a guide for multiple outfitters! In the beginning he talks about all the places he hunts and travels. Than later on in the episode we basically put waterfowl hunting to the side. Talk about the true meaning behind what in our eyes, how to be a gentleman in certain situations. I hope you enjoy this “heart to heart” conversation with Trevor and I. It’s what I have been looking for in a guest speaker for some time. Got the boys from pacific calls on the mics during the squad fest event. This was by far one of the most amazing guys I have ever met. I seen them first hand dealing with customers and the happiness they had the entire time. The boys at pacific calls are all pure hard working gentleman! On this episode we had 6 person round table. Two fishing guides from Webster that were involved. So a lot of fishing knowledge and stories were brought to the table on this episode. We also dive into some hunting and current events. Hearing how the past years have been for the fisheries up northern South Dakota was absolutely amazing.
