While Marci and I were talking last month, we touched on the difficulty of going to a baby shower after you've been told you can't have anymore kids. I also talked about how hard it was for me to attend baby showers after we lost our newborn son...and how it still is a challenge.

This is Part 2 of my interview with my BFF, Alisha! She shares her wisdom, love of people and she's just such a great woman! 

We talk about listening to your gut or intuition, finding yourself (and often it's the you that you always were!), how she found love after her divorce and how she strives to be better everyday. 

Alisha hopes this will make you feel less alone. During her 1st marriage, to an alcoholic, she found herself feeling alone, even with her loving family around her. So if you're going through something like this, she hopes you feel the loved and understood.

I am so pleased to introduce you to my BFF, Alisha Miranda! She has always been an inspiration to me. We’ve known each other for 36 years! She got married at 20 years old and had two kids by 26. During her 21 year marriage, she completed a Bachelor's degree, TWO Master's degrees and raised her 2 children! This is Part 2 of my interview with Marci Peterson. We start out by talking about what to do when you get the news that you can't have anymore children. How did that effect her?
We learn that her life is filled with so much joy and positivity but you have to create it!

Marci finds humor in all things, but mostly in herself. She isn't afraid to put herself out there and have fun. She also believes everyone should have fun at least ONCE everyday. She talks about homeschooling her girls and tutoring kids. We learn of her passions and her hopes for the future.

In this episode I talk about a fiancé I had who was very controlling and abusive. He had narcissistic tendencies and I’m so grateful I broke away from him. I tell some personal stories about him and what I went through. I share how I grew during that time and what I learned about myself and others. Although, at times I keep this episode lighthearted, this is a very serious topic. I was in immense emotional pain during this time of my life but I came out of the other side a better, happier person.
