Edgar described his involvement in revitalizing downtown Booneville and how he would like to carry that momentum into the mayor's office. He also gave us some updates on when we might see the completion of the downtown park project and some ideas on the types of businesses the park may attract to Booneville.     My next guests are performing musicians and recording artists who met in 2014. They later went on to form an Arkansas-based band whose sound can be described as the combination of gritty, Texas red dirt with anthemic Tennessee-style choruses. 
    They will be performing in the first-ever downtown music event held in Booneville on April 16th. Hayefield, along with another Arkansas-based band, Kinch, will be performing in a benefit concert for the Lucinda Franklin Garrett Community Stage Project, organized by the Booneville Rotary Club.

    My next guest is a Booneville High graduate who went on to study humanities at Barry University and got his master's degree in Human Resources at Barry University. 
    Most of his life has been devoted to law enforcement in some compacity, from a correctional officer at Cummins State Penitentiary to the US Air Force. He was even a patrolman at the Booneville PD before becoming a senior patrol Agent for the US Border Patrol. He then became a Senior Special Agent for the federal government.  Since retiring and coming back home to Booneville, he opened Mt.Vista Real Estate and Brewer Auctions. He is active in many civic groups, including Kiwanis and Rotary, and is now seeking the office of Mayor of the City of Booneville. I'm pleased to announce Aaron Brewer.
