Extinguishing Doubt is a new segment in which we discuss Christian Apologetics and other related topics. We will continue to discuss influences on our thinking like C.S. Lewis, as well as Paul Gould and his books Cultural Apologetics. Combining Lewis and Gould, we also bring back Holland to talk about how the Christian story is a more thorough and fulfilling explanation of reality, as well as how to make it more plainly known in our culture today.

    11. Apologetics Introduction - Extinguishing Doubt

Welcome back to The Logosians Podcast!

We are taking a break from our Lion and the Ring series, and beginning a new concurrent series called Extinguishing Doubt.

Extinguishing Doubt is a new segment in which we discuss Christian Apologetics and other related topics.

In this episode we will discuss what apologetics is(it's not saying sorry), and what impact it has made on each of us, as well as our own personal testimonies of struggles with belief and coming to faith in Christ.

We will delve into influences on our thinking like C.S. Lewis, William Lane Craig, Greg Koukl, Will Pratney, N.T. Wright, Lee Strobel, John Lennox, etc.  We also discuss in-brief some issues like The Problem of Evil, and Augustine as well as the Book of Job's take on The Problem of Evil.

Finally, we will discuss how Christianity is the bedrock of the moralitly and culture in the West, the thesis of Tom Holland's book Dominion, and how that shapes and impacts our culture whether we realize it or not.

This is the first part(of 2) of our discussion, and we will post the remainder of the conversation in the coming weeks.

    10. Cair Paravel Restored - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Pt. 4

    10. Cair Paravel Restored - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Pt. 4
Welcome back to The Logosians Podcast!

This is the 4th and final part of our discussion of C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the first book in The Chronicles of Narnia series.  Its been a fun ride, and we can't wait to continue with more Narnia episodes in the future.

The Lion and the Ring series episode 10 covers everything from the Pevensies meeting Aslan at his camp, to Peter's first kill, the Stone Table, the Deep Magic, and the defeat of the White Witch. We cover Aslan's death and resurrection at the Stone Table, and the significance of Lewis' views on the atonement.

The book concludes with the coronation of Peter the Magnificent, Susan the Gentle, Edmund the Just, and Lucy the Valiant at Cair Paravel, and then the hunting of the White Stag resulting in the Pevensies returning through the Wardrobe to England.

Along the way we go down the rabbit hole on duty, honor, courage, and what it means to be a man.

This leads us to a discussion on the terrible lack of competent and capable men, particularly husbands and fathers, in television and media today, particularly shows aimed at children.

    9. The White Witch vs... Santa?! - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Pt. 3

    9. The White Witch vs... Santa?! - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Pt. 3

Welcome back to The Logosians Podcast!

The Logosians are back in Narnia, and continuing our discussion about Maugrim, Aslan, Jadis, Father Christmas, and more! The Lion and the Ring series episode 9.

We return to our discussion in Chapter 9, with Edmund making his way to The White Witch's palace to find it full of creatures turned to stone.  Edmund meets Maugrim and quickly discovers the White Witch was never intending to help him.

The Beavers and Pevensies try to outrun the White Witch to Aslan's camp near the Stone Table, but they encounter a familiar face along the way in Father Christmas, who gives them gifts to use in the fight ahead.

Edmund sees the dark side of The White Witch first hand along the way as she petrifies innocent creatures left and right in her rage at the return of Father Christmas and Aslan.

The journey is perilous, but there is hope in the end.  We had a great time with this discussion and we hope you will too. Part 4 of the discussion, the next episode, will finish up The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
