Renewed in Times of Change and Growth - 14 Days to a Renewed Mind - Day 12

Whatever you find yourself in the middle of, take on an attitude of what am I supposed to learn in this?

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

Renewed in Grief - 14 Days to a Renewed Mind - Day 9

I'm dedicating the first 2 weeks of 2024 to daily reminders of the different ways that we can renew our minds.

This was a tough one, but I knew that it was a topic that should be addressed. The extremes of mental health issues are difficult to talk about, but still important.

Amie Patrick's husband took his own life after years of depression. She has arrived at a point of great healing and spoke in great detail with me in a previous episode. I invite you to listen to that conversation in its entirety. Amie has experienced a level of renewal that few get to. She has my thanks and respect.

If Erin sounds familiar, it's probably because she and her husband allowed me to tell their story of Jesus restoring their marriage. You can listen to it HERE

They offer personal and couples coaching, and publish great resources and a long-running podcast that can help anyone who chooses to have a growth mindset in their relationships.

    • 10 years of involvement at Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington, that came to a halt when the church closed down.

Renewed Even When it Doesn't Make Sense with Clint Zeller - Renew The Mind Series

Renewed Even When it Doesn't Make Sense with Clint Zeller - Renew The Mind Series
In this episode, I have the honor of speaking with Clint Zeller; the former pastor of Grace Life Church in Magnolia, Texas.

In July of 2023, Clint and his wife, Laura, made the decision that might have seemed puzzling to some, perhaps even disheartening. They made the difficult choice to close the doors of their church a place where the community gathered, worshiped, and served.

"Why would they do this?" Some may ask. Was it a lack of faith, a failure, or a defeat? Not at all. It was a decision made in obedience to what they believe God was calling them to do. It was a challenging and prayerful process—one that involved seeking wisdom and discernment in every step.

Closing the doors of Grace Life was not about giving up or walking away. It was about embracing the unknown, about trusting in a higher plan that is beyond our human understanding. It was about being open to the next chapter, whatever that might be.

    Clint's last sermon is HERE
