At Able Shepherd we believe that adventure is at the heart of every man, woman and child. Over the last couple months Able Shepherd was under attack for having members of the community protesting a Drag Show in Castle Rock. The protest was not an Able Shepherd organized or sanctioned event. It was men and women who share the same desire to protect their community! On August 26, 2023 a group of men protested the Douglas County Pride Festival that happened at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. They protested peacefully by simply wearing shirts that read Stand to Protect Children on the front and Jesus Loves You (and so do I) on the back. On the year anniversary of the horrific school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvaldle, Texas. Jimmy was given an opportunity to speak in Washington D.C. on what should have been done differently.

In his time in DC Jimmy was challenged and burdened with the country we live in and what has to be done differently to create a life for our children that encapsulates the freedom's we enjoy in America.

What must change now?

Over the last year we have seen two school shootings with two very different results. Uvalde was an hour and a half and yielded an hour and a half of footage from badge cams and security cameras that left us questioning why 21 people had to die.

Nashville happened with swift intentional actions but still left us asking why one individual would choose such horrendous actions.

Jimmy and BK look at both events and provide points for consideration - not to put down law enforcement or those involved - but to explain what could have been done differently.

What was the difference?

2023 is shaping up to be a big year for Able Shepherd. The building expansion is just about underway with a potential building lined up and plans for design already complete. Several new courses including breacher will be making their way to those who are in level 4. Why breaching? Jimmy and BK get into a deep discussion about the burden and pain of realizing their loved one's don't know Jesus. Jimmy has been convicted, and desires, that Able Shepherd would transition from a Christ-Centered business to a CHRIST-FIRST business. God is expanding the mission and vision of Able Shepherd. What started out as Duty To Act ten years ago, God has turned into a movement. A family and community that expands from the west coast to the east coast. In part two of this episode we look at two Able Shepherd's, men who have felt a burden and calling to take the community Jimmy has built and start to build their own in Montana and Maine.
