During this episode, we chopped it up about his music journey, inspirations, aspirations and more. His Father was a big influence in his world music discovery at a young age, test them on their knowledge and taking them to music concert. His Mother is his influence of fusion jazz and acoustic music. He started playing drums in punk bands then transitioned in to DeeJayin. Then at 14 years old, he had a Bar mitzvah and started buying music and started learning how to scratch. He then started experimenting with music with Reason software and a midi keyboard after being an Engineer and using Pro Tools. In 2009, he began getting serious. He link with a crew called "Chosen Few" Unjust was chopping vinyl on a ASR10 and spoke the Dilla-ism. Opio and Pep Love influenced him and opened up a world to him where he couldn't help but create music. He was a witness to the well-known Los Angeles Beatmaking Event called Low End Theory as well as the Smartbomb Beat Community. He names his Beatmaker/Music Producer Superheros like Roger Troutman, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Grandmaster Flash, J DILLA, Tony Allen, Joao Gilberto.

DJ Basta talked about a few of his albums '222', 'Roots & Branches Record Box' and 'QQQ'. He left crazy jewels, inspiring words for Beatmakers and detailed what's in store for the rest of 2023 & 2024.

He told the hilarious story of getting his moniker sharpened from his time spent with The Beat Junkies Institute of Sound. He got exposed to Hip Hop, Punk, electronic, Fela Kuti, Björk Radio Head and more. Being exposed to global music growing up. Hanging out with his cousins, recording their rhymes and posting on Myspace. His spark got bigger when his teacher Mr. Foster (Jazz Musician) encouraged him and his friend DeAndre were making loops into GarageBand. He started making beats using MixCraft. Listening to R&B, Rock, Jazz, Soul, Then discovering Hip Hop like Madlib, Looppack, J Dilla, MF DOOM, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest early in his adolescence. Thanks to his father, he exposed him to Rakim, Nas, JAY Z, DMX and wanted to learn the history.
