On this Session the homie Don sat down and shared his story with us. Don is a former Marine Raider. He did tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He went on to start his own businesses. This man is a true Badass! Super humble and inspiring.

On this episode we sat down with Robert and Dorothy of Death in Cambodia Podcast. Robert shares stories of his time growing up in Cambodia and escaping the khmer rouge. Fighting for his life and freedom in the jungles of Cambodia to running and operating a top Donut distribution company. We are so inspired and humbled from this one. Tune in!

We talk about her father’s time in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge, her upbringing as a Cambodian-American, the start and early success of her Podcast, her Boss Lady mentality and so much more! On this episode, our friend Sotheara of Khmer Renaissance joined the Session! We had such an amazing conversation, but most importantly, how Khmers in our specific generation can be mentors and role models for younger Khmers. We discussed investing in others, passing on knowledge, breaking the “Crabs in a bucket” stereotype, but also how there is no longer a need for competition within our community. It was a powerful and therapeutic discussion filled with passion that will stay with us for a very long time. And, of course, we did it over Hennessy VSOP; just three Khmer men politicking over some drinks.

We sat down with our friend Sambo and touched on mental health and his story of surviving suicide. By far one of our deepest episode yet. He shares lots of great information on mental health. His story is very inspiring and he goes into very detailed info. We know his experience and his story may not be for everyone, but there is someone out there who needs to hear it.

Mea Lath joins us on the Session. Mea is a role model and leader in the Khmer Community, protecting and passing down Cambodian culture. We learned so much on this episode about our own culture and we know you will too. This was such an amazing episode with an amazing person. We talked about how she got into traditional dancing, Cambodia and our culture, our first time seeing the Angkor Wat, meeting her idol, financial literacy and so much more. Tune in!

Army Veteran SFC Dawson Ret. Also Danny's future Father In-Law sat down with us. We talk about his time in the service, the racism he experienced growing up, what it was like being in a gas chamber, and so much more. This is a good one! Tune in!
