Episode 33- "How to Have a Successful VBAC & Do What's Right For You" with Sarah Bilger, Prenatal & Postpartum Doula

Episode 33- "How to Have a Successful VBAC & Do What's Right For You" with Sarah Bilger, Prenatal & Postpartum Doula

After 9 months of patience, preparation, and anticipation, what we want is a smooth, well-planned birth with a happy beginning. Unfortunately, it's common to experience the opposite. Maybe your labor wasn't what you expected. There might have been problems along the way.

Maybe you had problems or mistakes were made. Maybe your doctor or nurses didn't listen to you or honor your wishes. Or you and your baby might have experienced trauma or needed a C-section. (That's why doula work is so important. And why a lot of moms become doulas!)

There's nothing worse than feeling like you're invisible when you are at the mercy of others.

These situations are all-too-familiar for Sarah Bilger, an engineer and doula who specializes in VBAC preparation. Her passion for doula work and successful VBACs took root after her first child was born. Her baby came by C-section so she was told that this was the only option for her in the future. That didn't feel right. She listened to her gut and dove down the rabbit hole of researching.

Casual reading wasn't enough for Sarah, so she took doula certification courses. She shared what she was learning on her podcast, "Entering Motherhood." She had no idea that these decisions would change her life. Now she is helping other women prepare and experience the birth stories they are hoping for.

Cartoons?  Nostalgic stories from your childhood?  Yep. We've gotten so used to these behaviors that we don't think anything of them. But unfortunately, they are sleep disorder signs. Anyone who has one or more should discuss them with a medical professional.

She is a myofunctional therapist. She specializes in treating disorders of the mouth and supports patients in improving their sleep! She is easy to talk to and so knowledgable and enlightening. You're going to learn so much!

Episode 29- "Do You Know There's a Little Girl Inside You? How to Honor Her and Tend to Her Wounds" with Brittany Rose Green, MFT

You may not know this, but there's a little girl inside you who needs to be cared for and nurtured, the same way you care for your child. This beautiful concept caught Meredith's attention when she visited relationship coach and therapist, Brittany Rose Green's Instagram page. It tugged at Meredith's heart until she changed the topic of this interview. This message needs to be shared.

Brittany will help you see the little girl inside you. She'll inspire you to give her a voice, honor her, take good care of her, and tend to her wounds. She warns, "Otherwise, you'll impose these wounds onto your children. It's unavoidable."

Discover what it takes to love with all your heart and live in the moment. Learn how to avoid being triggered and thrown out of commission on a daily basis. Brittany's message is clear, "You can give your child AND yourself what you didn't receive, instead of fighting to be heard and seen." You don't want to miss this episode!
