The Power of Exposure - How Travel Can Help Your Grow!

The Power of Exposure - How Travel Can Help Your Grow!
Welcome to the first broadcast in Season Two! I share lessons learned from my recent trip to Provence, France! I've always thought I was a seasoned traveler, but I discovered during The Curated Retreat in the South of France that I was a careful, safe traveler! Something happened that caused a paradigm shift (an awareness) that snuck into my carry-on and journeyed back home with me. Want to know what that was? It's all in the broadcast! Travel, done well, can help you grow in ways that staying in your own space cannot accomplish...at least not as quickly! I started thinking about how travel impacted great leaders like Malcolm X and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. For Malcolm, it opened his eyes to see beyond his experience with racism in the United States. For Dr. King, it solidified his nonviolent philosophy as a means to bring about social change. Travel doesn't have to be global in order to be effective. It might be listening to a podcast, hearing the views of someone who has politically opposing views, or spending time exploring a culture that is radically different from your own. Exposure is important in order to see beyond our vantage points. It considers the possibility of "more" -- a whole new world to explore! The result -- growth!

The Power of Bless: Changing The World One Blessing At A Time With Tara Eusebi

This is a "feel good" episode that will raise your faith in humanity!  Tara Eusebi came up with the idea of Bless when she was grocery shopping.  She asked herself if she would be willing to meet a need if she were aware one existed.  She answered "Yes" and Bless was born.   Tara has a heart for giving based on her core foundational beliefs:

    1.  Needs affect us all.
    2. Her goal is to retrain humanity and our attitudes toward giving.
    3. Bless operates without judgment; however,  without judgment does not mean without accountability.
    4. Community members vouch for the character of those requesting a blessing,

The app is also a forum for community resources.  Organizations and outreach programs can use Bless to share opportunities for support as well as volunteer opportunities,

The Courageous Thrive: How Brave Is Your Leadership? With Kristin Knowles

The Courageous Thrive: How Brave Is Your Leadership? With Kristin Knowles

Kristin Knowles offers a unique opportunity to implement strategies that create empowering cultures and breaks apart  previous ideas of leadership to create brave leaders that will mark history and change the narrative for leadership going forward.

After years of experience in corporate leadership development and human resources, Kristen began to notice that leaders were attending training but not realizing transformation in their lives or with their teams.  She began researching leader behaviors, noticing that some leaders were doing "deep, internal work" that helped them  thrive in their personal lives.  Others were experiencing divorce, severe health conditions, and wondered if their journey to the top was worth it!  They looked successful on paper but were deteriorating in other areas. Kristin founded Brave Leaders Group, a full-suite leadership firm that specializes in offering transformational leadership coaching and organizational development services that create brave cultures and inspire growth.

In this episode, we dive into:

    • How leaders can bravely connect to their purpose
    • How to deal with the "whole leadership self"
    • How "inner work" can help corporations and leaders achieve success.
    • Find the joy and live fully even in the midst of challenging leadership seasons.

    Questions to Ponder:

    • Does your current position align with your GRAND Purpose?
    • Are you showing up fully empowered and thriving in every area of your life?
    • Are you living your core values?
    • Are you physically and mentally connected at work...or have you EJECTED and going through the motions.
    • Do you have balance in your life?
    • What pain points are you experiencing?  What does your pain say about you?

Kristin encourages leaders to be brave.  Don't ignore your feelings.  Deal with the self first.  You can only control what you have power over.  The only thing you have power over is yourself, your mindset, your beliefs, and what you choose to listen to.   Join Dr. Stephanuie and Kristen as they talk about the brave and courageous thrive that grow authentic leaders and result in  amazing work  and whole life cultures.
