    Three Birmingham police officers are dead. Two men put on death row for their murders. One of the men, recently executed. The execution of Nathaniel Woods on March 6, 2020 has sparked huge controversy across the country  as he was executed for a crime... he didn't commit. After many failed attempts of appeals and protests, unfair trials, inexperienced attorneys that "missed appeal deadlines", and what was a botched investigation from start to finish, the execution still moved forward. Was Woods life taken to serve justice or used as an example that the justice system knew they could get away with? Is this forgivable?

Texas high school student, Deandre Arnold's story made national headlines when he was told that if he did not cut his dreadlocks to a length under school policy, he would not walk the stage for his high school graduation, continue to be suspended, and be placed in alternative school. DeAndre said it best that you cannot be afraid to take a stand for "your culture and heritage".
